What is the friction material?

It's a very strong felt pad material which is why it can wear down over time but it's going to be thousands of miles before it would need to be replaced. We've had ours going strong for about 2.5 years now and haven't had any issues.

@@TreadmillReviewGuru Is it easy to replace the pads? I have not bought the bike yet but I am thinking of doing so. Are the pads easy to fit yourself when they are replaced or do you have to ask someone to call out to do this?

Magnetic resistance or is it the padded resistance?

This bike has friction resistance which is the padded resistance. If you want a Sole bike and also magnetic resistance, check out the SB900.
