Thank you instead for helping with the moc and the triac to use them together to do many things. Thanks again.

as always great information. Lewis, have you made a video on LDA, Linear Diode Array camera sensors like FaxMachine-line cameras and X-ray camera modules for the hobby bench? PS stay well.

hello one question if keep MOC302x work(led on), could I get a full wave 220Vac for the load? that means no matter IH and IL valve mentioned in Triac datasheet, even 1or 5mA load. because I am confusing that if any "dead area" for Triac AC switching via this circuit. Thank you in advance.

Hello, Can I ask? I' ve been looking for the answer many times but without success. Can I connect zero crossing relays in parallel? I read that I cannot because the relays won't switch at the same time. But relays are zero crossed so they won't turn on until the zero cross right? So if one of the relay want to switch earlier it cannot because it has to wait until the zero cross so eventually both will open at the same time? Or am I wrong? Thank you for answer. Also excuse my English it isn't perfect.

Lewis, Thanks for this. Could you do a lesson on trailing edge (vs leading edge) phase control please?
@LewisLoflin5 жыл бұрын
Yes I'll do that. I assume you mean AC?
@whitefields55955 жыл бұрын
@@LewisLoflin Yes AC please. I use Arduinos for my AC phase control and always use the design you cover above. They work well using a timed delay from the zero cross. However I am aware that at 90 deg leading edge trigger I am hitting the load with full peak AC voltage which I get away with, but it must be brutal! Better do the trailing edge as the firing is always at zero crossing, up over the peak and turn off on the trailing edge. I have seen designs using 2 back-to-back MOSFETS but have never built one and your presentation level, clarity and style is just right for me! If you could cover the effects of the collapsing field on inductive (magnetic) loads then all the better. I would also welcome seeing it work on universal motors (UK term?) i.e. the ones in shower boost pumps as the leading edge control only works in a certain zone and is noisy so I abandoned this project. I would like to control my 500W shower motor if only to turn it down when my daughter tries to re-float Noah's Ark Thanks from England.

For the snubber circuit at 06:55, what is the voltage rating of the 0.01uf and is it X2 type? Also what is the power rating of the 39R resistor? Thanks.

cap 250V resistor 1 watt. Not critical.

I have made measurements in a ssr GN 84137010 and at 3 volts it consumes 7mA and at 32 volts 9.5mA the question is: What is the internal circuit of entry in this type of SSR? Do you have any information?
@LewisLoflin5 жыл бұрын
I found the data sheet. I uses a current limiter circuit. I'll do a video on it.

Yes I do I keep it separate from this one. I do not have anything other than electronics on this one. Email me at lewis@bvu.net
