Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about the solid sweep tool in the comments below! :)

I really liked seeing the corner atound 2:04. This is a great feature!

This is a very great video and this new tool has a lot of use case! But honestly I wish they would have taking it a step further and added in the sweep menu an offset body option so when it cut through the body it cuts it with like a 0,05 or 0’1mm offset for tolerance so we don’t have to go again manually offset everything using the push pull option. If fusion can add this it would be amazing

I miss that extra feature too!

@@hugolatra Same. Came here to learn exactly that. What are people doing instead? Some sort of Press / Pull on the interior face?
@BlackSmokeDMax3 ай бұрын
Very cool. Btw, you didn't need to add an axis, just selecting the outer diameter would have sufficed.
@TheFusionEssentials3 ай бұрын
On which example?
@BlackSmokeDMax3 ай бұрын
@@TheFusionEssentials at 5:36 instead of adding that axis, just select the outside of your cylinder. Fusion can use any thing concentric as the axis call out. Creating and using the axis you made is 100% valid as well, of course.

@@BlackSmokeDMax OH - got it! That's a solid point - totally forgot that was a thing - thanks!

Hello sir, can you do the Theo Jansen Spider Leg next? I've been trying to make an animation about it for the past 2 months and there are still a lot of flaw in it. I would appreciated if sir could help me with that.

Very amazing this lecture sir

Wow! First of all I am so grateful for your work and I will watch all your videos to support this channel. Regarding a use case, I'm designing a gauge to measure wear on Train Wheels, the wheel profile can be drawn and swept onto my gauge!

Hey Justin I really appreciate you making and teaching people how to use Fusion. I'm learning from the woodworking series you made awhile back. Any chance you could make some videos showing how to use Joiner cad with woodworking?? I'm learning still but that Joiner cad really looks to speedup the design process immensely. No matter what you decide thank you very much these videos have been beyond helpful.

Do you have any videos on Cam turning
@philralph7036Ай бұрын
Thanks for all the tutorials (for myself they have been essential viewing to understand and use Fusion) The one thing I can't seem to find is "copy body from one file to another" like a copy and paste in Microsoft programs? or is this not possible? I'm thinking of splitting down the current project I have into four parts and have one master with all element on?

This is CAM in parametric modeling. The solid is your tool and the path is your toolpath. Very neat feature! And my hope is for running a custom form tool through a solid in the model, it will not be as susceptible to issues created from a self-intersecting 2D sketch perpendicular to a path. Being able to cut over itself and not break is HUGE.

hi! sorry it's irrelevant to the video but I came here from your other channel for Blender tutorials and i'm currently looking for which application will be better for a beginner who only wants to pick up this architecture stuff as a hobby, which application would you recommend more between the two (fusion or blender)? also! you are a lifesaver with these video tutorials! thank youuu

How about using this to cut soft jaws?
@boothybuilds3 ай бұрын
Would be really good for bayonet fit designs as per your sample circle array, especially with parametric control of the solid.

You can draw your dovetail or whatever shape you want with lines, then use the lines as the tool to the split body command.

Is there a way to draw all over a vase in 3D, and have a carving tool go at it like a beaver?
@objection_your_honor3 ай бұрын
I've never used the solid sweep function. It looks powerful. I think it would be mostly to carve designs onto surfaces, like you did.
@TheFusionEssentials3 ай бұрын
Agreed - and the cool thing is, if you adjust the solid object you use as a sweep, the carving adjusts as well!
