This is a new tool that is becoming a favorite the more I use it. We are teaming up with Johnny Bellantuono on some future projects and this is the first one.

Amazing work Steve. I am still interested in one of your squaring blocks and probably the 45 as well.

Hi Robert, we have you on the list for the Squaring Block. I am working on back orders and getting some out but there is a lot of them. It's going to take awhile. I am dividing my time up between KZbin, new prototypes and filling back orders. I am feeling better but still limiting myself to about five hours a day. If I try to do more at this point it takes to much out of me and then I am down for a couple of days. Some had to cancel or delay their orders due to the current economy which I understand. Steve

Morning to the entire family. Glad you are feeling better Steve. Very informative and well produced video. As usual. Wishing you all the best. As you teach I am picking up more and more tooling to be able to try and do it just like you instructed. That works much better than cobbling as is how I tried and failed in the past. LOL. All the best from the opposite side is Michigan. Dan

I got it, Thank You. I’m a new old hobby machinist. Saw your video on setting up my surface grinder, Okamoto 6.18. My used tool guy ships them with table on bearings with wood block under spindle. Crazy! I sent your video to him. Take the table off or wood block it. Thank you.

Steve, can you please provide the model and parts numbers for both the Korloy cutter and the inserts you used in this video. Outstanding tooling that I need to put on my “to buy” list. My only social media contact is KZbin and I couldn’t catch the information fast enough. Thank you again for sharing your hard earned knowledge. Stay Well. Cheers, Will

@@SolidRockMachineShopInc Thank you Steve. I’m not an Instagram user but was able to access your page using a friend’s account. Your custom arbor is a clever trick. My Bridgeport has a 30 NMTB taper spindle so I won’t copy yours exactly but definitely appreciate learning another trick for my toolbox. All The Best, Will

So you are using a big 45 to make another big 45….how do you make the first one?
@SolidRockMachineShopInc
@SolidRockMachineShopInc 2 жыл бұрын
It was a little harder. I used a 3/4" thick 45 degree and took it very slow and easy with the rail part. I left extra stock and straighten everything out in the grind.

👍 I think the block is fine with the mess up and not fair to you to take a hit on the final one. IMO. Awful kind of you as always.

Thanks, I will use the messed up one for myself so it is not a total loss. I do not want to sell things that are not up to my standards. Steve
