Why didn't you make it symmetric. I'm talking about those pipes. I mean will it cause some problem if we try to make it symmetrical? I hope you got my question.

Where are those coordinates for the points coming from??? Those coordinates are the magic and unless im missing something your not explaining where those come from. This is like watching Mr Dressup draw... anyone old enough to get that???

9:37 If I uncheck the "Merge Result", there appears a cross mark in front of the cut-extrude. please help. Because of this, I dont get the "Combine" tool to use.

Once you get the error, click on cross mark and click "edit feature" then select the "all bodies" box followed by the check mark. this allowed me to use the combine feature.

Adam, no sure what you mean by coordinates. Do you mean the distances from the x,y,z origin? If you mean the 4 flanges which seem to be just hanging out in the air before the tubes are connected I don't think the author was worried about the exact distance of the plane on which they were drawn from the origin. I think the intent of the author was just to show how the exhaust manifold could be drawn without supplying any specific dimension from a given point. If you are able to restructure your question maybe I can help you figure out what was missed. Never used the program Mr. Dressup draw myself. Is it easier than SketchUP? :))))

How do you make your materials look so real even while still modeling? My model looks pretty basic material wise compared to yours.

That depends what SolidWorks license you have, I have Standard and I saw it basic too
