Good evening again Ceri and Kat! 😀 Glad you enjoyed the video! Ambleside is a great place indeed with all its historic buildings as well as its location. The Golden Rule is great, a pub where you can enjoy a pint and maybe a pork pie! 😀 This was a nice little walk to film as I wasn't sure how the day's weather was going to turn out. As it happened it was pretty good in the end. Hopefully the two people I met in Ambleside will see this 😊 Pleasure to give you the shout out as your channel is great and always enjoy watching the two of you together on your travels 😀 It was nice visiting the YHA too to share the memory of my one evening spent there a long time ago. Thanks Ceri and Kat for taking the time to watch and for all your lovely comments. Looking forward to the meetup indeed so will enjoy catching you both then 😀 All the best! 🫖☕️👍

Ambleside and the surrounding areas are a great place for a walk. A beautiful part of the country to visit. Cheers Patrick

Thanks Kelly, the rain was surprising as I expected it to arrive sooner. The YHA is fab isn't it. I spent one night there many years ago, so my memories of it are fairly dim, but I remember the great location beside Lake Windermere. Ambleside is a great base whilst staying in the Lakes so plenty of good walks from there, and good public transport to other parts. Thanks for watching Kelly 👍

It's amazing what you can make out of 3-half miles Patrick. A lovely town. I was thinking I will enjoy these towns in our fair country one day. I totally agree with the rain. People don't see the water tables. We need more in fact. Good to hear of your rainy relaxing day on the buses. Sounds cozy! Ha, you're getting famous - well deserved because it's a great channel. Well, another decent outing. All the best out there. Mark

Hi Mark, yeah I could have made a whole video of Ambleside itself as there's plenty to see there. The rain has been good, I've been so pleased and relieved to see more of it too. The day on the buses was great. Bought a ticket for £9 and you can just ride all day, so I spent that day visiting places like Bowness-on-Windermere and Coniston. I was really surprised, but chuffed too of course, that someone recognised me whilst in Ambleside! 😊 Thanks for watching Mark. All the best down there and hope your weekend is a good one 👍

I really enjoyed the history behind Ambleside especially the Roman origins. Love that House on the bridge. Although originally an Apple Store I bet it is a beautiful tiny House now. Unless you know what it actually is Patrick? A beautiful hike. A shame about the rain, that's the sort of thing that would happen to me. Youth Hostel wise I've only ever stayed at Betws-y-coed Youth Hostel on a Geography field trip at School. Probably 1977/78. Great memories. Thanks for sharing Patrick. I really look forward to your vlogs.

A most spectacular film, Patrick. No wonder that it's understandable as to why you love this district. The scenery is fantastic. The buildings in Ambleside remind me very much of some in Snowdonia, with that dark, hard and granitic rock construction. The building which spans the river, the Bridge House, is totally stunning. The public house that you pass and favour, looks quite an oldish building, too. Further on, the High Sweden Bridge, is a masterpiece. All in all, Patrick, a very enjoyable walk. Many thanks.

Hi Patrick. Another pleasant walk for you, with some pleasant views of Ambleside town. I didn't recognise parts of it but know Ambleside Youth Hostel. Having stayed there over a Christmas period when on my own at the time. Also took photos of Ambleside Lake and church. Agree, it can be relaxing to leave the camera behind sometimes. You filmed some lovely parts like High Sweden Bridge. Not been there myself, but what lovely route for a short walk. Pleasant easy going guitar instrumentals which I liked hearing. All the best and hope you enjoyed your holiday.

What a lovely walk Patrick. High Sweden Bridge must be a photographers dream as it’s a beautiful place. Glad you managed to find a drier day for filming and to enjoy the walk. I’m off to Ambleside in about 3 weeks time, so better pack the waterproofs as November is a notoriously wet month in the Lakes! Great shoutout by the way. Ceri and Kat are great. Thanks Anthony, I'd not heard of High Sweden Bridge at all, but I found this route in a Lake District walks book, so thought it would be a nice short route to film. I ended up extending it a bit with the walk to Waterhead. As it happened it was a lovely walk as you saw, and the rain held off for longer than was forecast for this day. Hope you have a great time in Ambleside soo. You'll know of course it's a great base whilst exploring the Lakes. Yeah I love Ceri and Kat.
