then to the movie audience, he is like Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor and chirrut. a new character. he was reintroduced. heck, I saw clone wars and I didn't recognise him. if it wasn't for the internet I wouldn't have know that was the same character. but maul is different. the last time movie audiences saw him. he was cut in half and fell down a hole. dead in other words. you can have cartoon characters appear in the movie. but you have to do it in a way that keeps the cartoon fan happy but also doesn't loose the vast movie audience.

Mike Disanto it's already Canon that maul finds and dies to Obi Wan. We assume all obi Wan did was sit around as a hermit. They can write in whatever they want. I just saw this in the theater. I really liked it. It deserved better than the lack of buzz it got. More importantly, with the recent announcement that they are halting all star wars spinoffs because of this, we won't get to see where they were going with the Maul angle. It was clear that they were trying to set up a sub-universe of sorts that included Solo sequels and Obi Wan movies, likely converging on a showdown with Maul. I would have liked to have seen that. Especially if it included a meeting between Maul and his...replacement. Can't imagine Vader would be pleased to hear that a former Sith was planning to overthrow the empire.

I did like the Solo movie, but the Robot droid was super annoying and almost got everyone killed. She even sounded black while talking about freeing the droids. She was also condescending, drastic, universe breaking, and ultimately annoying. She didn't just almost kill Han Solo, she almost killed Star Wars.

I really did enjoy Solo: A Star Wars Story, and the reveal of Darth Maul was pretty exhilarating. I'd say this is a definite opening for not a Darth Maul story, but I'd say it would be included in an Obi-Wan story. So far I like the spin-off movies more than the news trilogy movies. People can believe Anakin survived getting every limb cut off, and literally having most of his skin melted off by lava, but can't believe an alien species with possibly a different organ set up survived. Also, those two surviving that are nothing compared to Darth Sion, way back in the Old Republic era, who literally forced himself to come back to life after dying multiple times, living based on hate and rage is what dark siders do, no matter how absurd it seems.

The Darth Maul reveal solidified the film as one of my favorites for sure. So I’m confused now because the director of the “Boba Fett” movie has been confirmed. Didn’t this ending set up an Obi-wan movie? Or did it set up a Han Solo sequel? How come Han Solo doesn’t believe in the force/Jedi when he seems pretty likely to encounter Maul? So many questions. Projects that fin and rey find in the force awakens are allllllllllllllll in star wars rebels, literally all of them are dave fillonis creation. Maul being alive is dave fillonis creation, him having metal legs, is because of the story you see in clone wars, his new light saber is the one from rebels.... why would they just erase that all? solo was a star wars movie for die hard star wars fans who have been keeping up with the cannon... so yah... its not going to happen... star wars rebels and maul being in that show entirely is literally the story of him looking for obiwan... darth maul at this point in time is a dave filloni character, so they would not shit on the entire story for the purpose of breaking cannon and having him in a movie against obiwan. him being in control of the crime syndicate... that all takes place in the show... so to have it be partly cannon, but not cannon, isnt going to happen... like does that sound like a good idea to you? If maul does fight obiwan, it wont be on tatooine, nor will he die, i 150% guarantee you they WILL NOT break cannon at this point in time.

OMGITSGB Maul does not have to know about Tatooine to fight Obi-wan. I believe there are some stories in the EU where Obi-wan leaves Tatooine for a little bit to do other things. As for Rebels Maul only says that he thought Kenobi was dead he didn’t say why. Maybe after their fight in a new Kenobi film they leave each other in such a way that makes Maul believe he killed Obi-wan? (A ship explosion or something like that)

I was super surprised and excited by the ending of the movie. That being said I was also equally VERY confused on where the timeline all fit for this. 🔥My favorite saber is for sure (I’m not going with the obvious Darth Maul) Mace Windus, who had the only purple light saber. He was gifted the rare crystal to make the saber after he saw visions of himself fighting with a purple saber. He also encased it in a gold metal normally only used by the very wealthy and ironically this was also used by Palpatine on his own saber. By far the coolest looking saber

My all time favorite lightsaber is Darth Mauls. Call me generic, but I love his double-sided lightsaber and rather unique fighting style (unique in the cinematic universe anyway). He's just so awesome and I get nostalgia looking back to the days of the 2005 battle front 2, playing assult on Mos Eisley and tearing through people with Darth Maul.

This is how you incorporate legends into canon, Yes Maul's survival is canon(Clone Wars, Rebels), but small things like Teräs Käsi etc. I do wish we'd got to see more of Han's days in the Empire though, I really liked the "Band of Brothers" war feeling at the start.

A lot of the novels currently canon flat out suck & try to put too much of what's supposed to be "accepted" in today's real world into them & its ruining them sadly. There have been some great ones as well however so I haven't stopped buying them. Its just sad that they can't just tell a good story w/o pulling some b.s. & we don't know what we're going to get beforehand. Yes there was a lot of stupid stuff in old canon, but just because they were dumb ideas, not as much forced acceptance in every story it seems.

I really do love this channel, having watch at least a couple of videos each week since finding it. Before watching Solo, however, this video popped up on my recommended videos and the title picture completely spoiled the Maul cameo for me; any person that has a decent interest in Star wars will know that pose from episode 1. I wonder about that, Mandalorians from Mandalore don't think of people like Jango, who was born on a colony, as a true Mandalorians. They'd view Boba as even lower than that. I'm hoping we get to see Boba sort of avenging his father's legacy. Proving to the "true" Mandalorians that he is a greater warrior. THough it's probably be all about a hunt or something in reality.
