This is a really nice game and it even feels like a dungeon crawler. So far I have lost 3 times in a row. After 10 losses I might add one of the red cards that are sorted out of the game. So cool what you can do with a simple deck of cards :-)

I know, right? One deck of cards is enough for pretty much infinite games, solo as well as multiplayer. Also, it's great that you're playing this game! I think it really is one of the better solo games you can play with a deck of cards.🙂 But there's more coming soon! ✌

Glad I stumbled onto this video, great design. I really like these designs using just a regular deck of cards. I'm working on a design myself that is looking promising, but not polished yet. I will be watching your other videos like this in your playlist for sure. Thanks for sharing these great games!

@@SirThecos Thank you for the encouragement. I crossed a threshold where I think the game is pretty good now, though always open to input and suggestions. Not sure if you'd be interested to cover it, but in case you're interested I made a play through video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6e9g6SHgrxko5Y

It really is! It is simple and plays quickly but still leaves you with quite a few tactical decisions. I highly recommend trying it out! ✌️

It reminds me of donsol, but I would say this one it's easier. In donsol you have all the 54 cards including jokers. In donsol the Q it's 13, the K it's 15 and the Ace it's 17. The red face cards and Aces (weapons and potions) value it's 11. The jokers are called Donsols and they're value it's 21 (the maximum life points value) which means that you can't beat a donsol without a new weapon. It's a very amusing game.

What do you do if you have more than one weapons in one room? Or if you don’t want to take any of the weapons in a room?

I love using lemons to keep track of HP!

I know, right? Everyone should be doing that - of course, you do need the necessary table space.

How did you print it in that booklet form
@SirThecos2 жыл бұрын
I'm not quite sure but somewhere I found them formatted like this. All I had to do was print them and then cut them in a specific way so that I could fold them like this. 🤔

I like this game, but it's difficult. Essentially it has to go perfectly, luck and strategy. I like to call this game Prince of Persia because of how hard it is and the setup reminds me of the original game. Someone on a different thread suggested keeping the 2 jokers in the deck to use as parry attack cards, and this really helps when you don't want to be on such a losing streak. The jokers don't stack on other weapons and don't take damage from defeated monsters.
@SirThecos9 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's definitely challenging! 😬
@mortsnerd51009 ай бұрын
The Joker rule is a good idea, but you can also scale the difficulty by removing some of the monster cards. I'm just learning it so I remove the black Kings and Aces. I'm winning about 60% of the time so I will gradually add them back in as I get better at it.
@mikedulrich3 ай бұрын
Maybe a joker has to be used immediately and it can eliminate any enemy. If there aren’t enemies it destroys the highest card in the room.

That has to be the most fiddly health tracker I've ever seen. Such an odd design and easy to knock or bump.

What happens if you have 3 weapons and a monster in a room? Can you discard weapons like potions?
@mortsnerd51009 ай бұрын
I have this same question. The official rules don't cover it, so I just discard the weapon I don't want. It makes no sense to be forced to equip a weapon that is inferior to the one currently equipped.

What would happen if you have 3 healing cards in 1 round? Since you cannot heal more than once per round, would you have to skip that room? Because you would not be able to use 3 cards, even if you left 1 of the healing for the next room
@SirThecos2 жыл бұрын
No, I wouldn't have to skip it. You can use the first healing card - all other healing cards in the room are merely discarded (without the healing effect being triggered).
@mortsnerd51009 ай бұрын
If you have a room with a lot of red cards, you might want to skip the room so as not to waste the healing and weapons. Then you may be able to use them later.
