Great memories. I was there in 1983 w my dad in my mid-teens. That short and flat wall on the left at 8:07 was where I did my first more challenging climbing. I have a picture of me there but could never remember where it was. We ended a week of climbing in the Dolomites with the Fedele-Dibona route on the NW wall of Sass Pordoi. Great memories, indeed. Thank you!

I'm glad you are making these videos and I hope you'll keep on doing them. As someone from hungary I mainly climb in the mountains you do, so its quite nice to see someone free solo or rope solo in some occasions the very same routes i've been on. Thank you for the nice athmosferic content you upload every now and then!

I love to watch your videos man. Simple, but I always watch them till the very last second, because I enjoy the style. Keep making videos, no matter if you go climbing solo with ropes. I always wanted to try and learn how to climb especially outside, but I got no real opportunity, yet. Maybe I will get there someday. At least your videos keep me interested in this topic :)

Great video angles - we can really nicely see the routes. I mostly interested in the easier free solo stuff (not much such good coverage from other sources). It would be great to add link to some topo/more information about routes that you are doing (if it doesn't cost you too much effort) - that way it is easy to check the difficulty and potentially if I'd like to climb them as well.
@andrazegart Жыл бұрын
Thank you! But I don’t like sharing route info publicly because I don’t want to be responsible for anyone trying it. There are plenty of topos online for the Cinque torri :) I hope you understand.
@m.topfer Жыл бұрын
@@andrazegart I totally understand - it's always a fine line regarding responsibility, especially with free solo. Honestly, the idea to get more info for routes came to me much more in your videos from Slovenia where there are many routes on the north face of Triglav and it wasn't clear to me which one were you climbing.

If you still chose Quarto Bassa and Quarto Alta, and in the first pitch of Bassa to put the GoPro on the helmet (to make it look more overhanging 😜), you could put a little spices in the film - heel hooks, monodoigt, etc 😜 Now, seriously speaking, in Cinque Torri the rock is dolerite, which is much better/compact and friction friendly than dolomite or Jursasian limestone in the Alpi Gilie. If you're still in the area, it's worth climbing Torre Inglese. From above you have a more special perspective. And last but not list, to drink an espresso to Rif. Scoiattoli

That mrtal that was alteady there. How do you trust repellling off that and not placing your own anchor

You can see if the anchors are trustworthy or not. And usually they last quite a long time, as long as the rock quality is good. If everyone made their own anchor then the mountains would be covered in metal :)

This is wrong on so many levels my friend. You have no margin of error, no safety procedures, no back ups, nothing. Remember, all the idiots in the comments below saying "Bro your videos are great, etc." will be still alive the day after your hand slips from the grip you were holding.
@andrazegart Жыл бұрын
There has been countless times I was in much bigger danger while driving on the road. (Because of idiotic reckless drivers)… In life there are situations where you are in full control of your life (free soloing), and situations where your life is in the hands of reckless drivers for example.
