When the bed is all made up and the dog is under the blanket and the windows are all covered up I swear it looks sooo cozy!!! It is literally a mood! It kind of reminds me of when I was little and my cousins and I would build forts in my grandma's house lol. We would drape blankets over the kitchen table and stack the chairs like they were a door. We would throw blankets and pillows all around the inside-I guess to be extra 😂😂 but yeah this reminds me of that

@@gardeningtogether5841 It’s Saturday. Not everyone has the same work schedule. Surely she isn’t just chilling 24/7 and doing whatever she wants. Even if she was, they live in a van. It’s a lot less to pay for when you think about it, so having only one person working depending on the job should be plenty. All they really have to pay for is food, drinks, gas, maintenance, parking and insurance. Occasionally doing things like she said, going to the gym and paying for that, or getting new clothes. When owning a house or even an apartment you have to worry about a lot more then just that. This was not at all meant to be sexist. Don’t try making it out to be. If it works for them it works for them, it’s really none of your concern anyway.

I feel the same way. Sounds like people spend the first few days or weeks anxious but eventually their van becomes their home. I've heard a lot of them say they cried the first few days "what did I do!?" Lol

@@cb.1212 It doesn't have to be that way. Many people I follow do have a routine. From coffee, walk the dogs, work schedule, dinner, home, entertainment, whatever they do daily. But also many decide how long they stay in each place. So even when to move, where to go next is carefully planned out. Most are very social, more so than us living in apartments that never see their neighbors. They have friends, family and vanlife community. Most live this life so they can experience the outdoors. The house (van) is just a place to sleep, make meals but they aren't in them as much as we are in our normal home. Personally I can't get rid of all my stuff lol I like my variety of stuff. But I would love to do this for road trip vacays one day.

​@@lexiiam What would be so bad about keeping him in the crate, as long as it's properly sized, for a couple hours? Putting him in the crate for a while can be safer for him. There's no chance of eating anything not given to him (with the exception of pulling things into the crate, if he does that), tearing anything up or getting hurt. A dog who is crate trained is comfortable in their crate. Most will even retreat to their crate if they need alone time. It's obvious, from what is shown and his level of training, he doesn't live in the kennel. The kennel may only be used when they are driving. Which again, safer for the dog, less distractions while driving, safer for passengers incase of an accident, and so on.

How long is your van? In my 22' Rialta, my pull-out folding dining table (my counter space) is just behind my captain's seats in my small-but- sufficient full galley. My rear dining table folds completely away and the bench seats pop down to a bed in 1 second. I have a one-piece thick rollable mattress that I can strap X3 to use for an armrest/pillow. No rear exit = leave the bed intact so I can sit/lay on it anytime. I have a tall wedge pillow I utilize to sit up against the Cabinetry for reading or watching my 24" DVD-TV. I'm always on vacation, so my cell phone suffices. I have never showered inside my RV. I use the sink for a 'teacup bath', or my outdoor shower hose setup (in my bathing suit) when boondocking--It's no different from taking a deck shower on a sailboat. Most campgrounds have showers, but not in the Rocky Mountains. I'm 70, doing this for the last 8 years. I always camped in a backpacking tent before that. My RV motto is "everything I need, and nothing I don't."

That dog is to big for a van....i literally live in a 2 story condo with my boyfriend and the 2 dogs we can feel like they can't fit. Like that piir dog cant even do a uturn lol. We take them on plenty of walks but it still just feels mean to have them inside when they are because dogs like that should have a yard.
