I think this is my favorite van layout yet! And I’ve watched a lot of videos. My favorite is how the bed collapses. I probably would leave it in the small config most the time as a solo traveler, but love the option to expand when traveling with someone

I would not be wanting to make down a bed every day i know i just wouldnt do it but i would like a good amount of storage space and i dont care if the toilet is in full view of me. I dont need to waste space and water showering every day either. This van has a beautiful bathroom but I would prefer to rough it a bit more just to gain ssome space. I have seen one solo female thought she wanted a shower but did not take long to start hanging clothes in her fixed bathroom. I'd be going solo possibly with a dog. Horses for coarses.

I admire your courage in downsizing the cabinetry. I highly recommend packing cubes for storing your clothes… The kind that you put into a suitcase. I use them in our trailer and I am able to stuff so many clothes into two drawers!

I am fascinated with van conversions and have seen many presented on KZbin but this conversion is The Best Uncluttered design style of them all!! So clean, neat, organized, fresh, modern, sleek, etc., etc., etc. Love the thought you two have in accommodating" your son" and the smart conveniences all built in like the sliding table top, back curtains, make-up elevator, doggie storage/seat, etc. Enjoy your van adventures!! 11:40 that slide out table should have some space above it so you can easily close the laptop lid and slide back inside whenever you want to walk out, you 2 look stuck in there cant be good for long term lol, it also serve as a permanent place to keep some office stuff

Your van has everything you need to have it be liveable long term. Since you have previously lived in a van and know what worked and what you would like to have made your new build is so well designed. I love the induction burner and your other little oven that seems to do everything. I haven't seen a refrigerator like yours before. It is very spacious for a van. One thing I love the most is how simple and not cluttered your van is. You have thought of everything. The color is perfect in the shower, bye the way. Congratulations on your new build. Looks like your vision for what you wanted has come alive. Looking forward so seeing you on the road and let us know how it's working out. Oh my goodness - this is absolutely gorgeous - you should be so proud of what you have built. The layout and the colour scheme are just perfect. We are about to fitout a new Mercedes Sprinter MWB van - and we have spent literally hundreds of hours over the last 12 months watching KZbin videos trying to come up with the perfect layout - and now we have it. What a phenomenal job you guys did! Just a little heads up, with your beauty products being so close to the toaster oven and heat, they may go bad way before the expiry date. They should always be kept in a cool, dark place (which you did). It's said to even kept them in a fridge so they don't spoil. Loved your idea to have the products hidden, though. Suggestion: don't cook with the induction cooktop in the open drawer; it would force you to stay on whichever side of the drawer you're at when you start cooking. I think the curbside counter top has enough space for a built-in induction cooktop. Also if the door on the reefer is reversible, it seems that while cooking, the contents would be easier to access with hinges on the left. Also like the low profile toaster oven.

I really like the daybed/pull out bed idea. It is the best of both worlds, because you have a place to nap during the day without making the whole bed.

Great van design! You can get travel kits (for clothes) that compress with a zip, meaning you can fit more into a small space easily. I’d be doing that with such minimal space for clothes, but then, I’d also need hanging space.

Brilliant conversion! One word of advice as a mechanic myself.... you need to ensure your batteries are well ventilated as they do swell, without addiquat room to allow them to "breathe" they could explode, I have seen it happen before... I definitely wouldn't put your washing in there. Love the build!

Really great, guys. Nicely done. I was thinking, at the end, the curtains didn't stay. There are strip magnets you could sew into the sides to help with that, just in a few key places, and even in the middle to keep them together, if that would work for you. I was recently looking into that for myself, then saw this, and had to suggest it for an easy fix. Congrats on your beautiful new home!

Tired of renting and buying a home here in NYC is not an option and he's not willing to commute so, I figured he's adventurous and loves to drive, where always together so why not. Leave this apartment to our daughter she's 29 credits away from earning her bachelor's and loves living in the city. This is my absolute favourite van conversion to date ❤ The only issue I foresee and/or I would have is the small amount of space for clothes storage. I love the dog area which I would want to replicate as we have a pooch too but as he always wants to be next to me I would possibly have to consider forsaking this for drawers as he sleeps on our bed anyway. Love love love it!

The van alone is about $40k. All of the stuff they mention in the description adds almost another $15k on top of that, so you're probably looking at around $55k - $60k to get something similar. The description also mentions that they partnered with some brand to get the conversion done, so they definitely didn't pay that full amount.

I love everything, but do have a question regarding the cabinet with the controls. Since you have so little storage (for clothes, but I also didn’t see anywhere for books, games, miscellaneous..) did you consider putting the controls on the open wall beneath under some type of cover (fake photo frame) to make full use of that third cabinet? I also didn’t see a space for towels, beach towels, bags/backpacks, etc. I commented before the end. :) I was surprised to not see any garage space. I knew there couldn’t be much, but expected a little. You don’t carry any type of outdoor seating? Tools? I hope you don’t find yourselves too limited on space.

Yeah...I'd have to have a bike rack for my bike, and the passenger seat would regularly be FULL of groceries, my folding chair, pots and pans, my backpack and purse, camera gear, linens/blankets/towels, misc. supplies, and a lot of clothes, jackets etc.
