I have watched another video about Jessie's 'Mander. But it didn't really show the challenge she faced, like this one did, with the water damage she found, after the purchase. I have faced a very similar situation, after getting the camper home, tearing into it, and realizing that there was far more damage than I originally saw... Starting with having to do a complete tear-out of the ceiling and most if the built-ins and then having to remove sections of the floor to replace them. I probably still have another 6 months or more of work. 😔 When I searched for the other video to watch, this one came up and it gave me the strength to continue moving forward with my camper. Thank you!👍😍 I now have two (!) videos to watch, to remind me that hard work. And persistence will pay off! Thamks, Jessie for sharing your story!👍😊🚚

In retrospect I feel the hippie generation of my youth is rejuvenating through these younger set of full time rv’ers. It’s wonderful being allowed a peek into your lives, creativity, viewpoints, perspectives, how y’all make it work while totally enjoying the carefree lifestyle rv’ing can afford. I began my rv journey back in May 1999 & never regretted a moment. From age 47 forward now 67 the peacefulness & freedom of my rv home affords me a frugal lifestyle without lacking comfort. I hope y’all continue for many years to come this adventurous & liberating lifestyle. 🐞

Rachel and I always joke that we would have probably fit in better in the 60’s. LOL. That’s very reassuring to hear that after 20 years of RV life you’re still loving it. We have a really hard time imagining going back to the normal home ownership. Too much freedom in bus life. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Safe travels!

When I was 20 I traveled across the country skydiving and staying at different drop zones while I packed parachutes to make money to get to the next destination. It was an amazing experience and I wouldn't give it up for anything. I love that she is deciding to explore and enjoy her life now. I was single when I did all my crazy travels and it was amazing. I'm now married to an awesome husband and we've been married for 20 years, but I'm so glad I did what I did when I was single. Don't wait to enjoy life no matter where you are in life. I hope you all continue to have amazing adventures. My husband and I just started converting our own bus and your channel has been a wonderful inspiration for us!

Can you also guys film a honest cons of living in a bus? Like is there any? Just to be a reminder for people like me who wants to also live a life on a bus that for sure it isn't always going your way. I would really love to hear some of the hardships you had for me to learn. 😊

If you're interested I am doing a series of videos showing what it's like to rehab a Vintage camper.(I have an '81 Jayco Jaygull and, very much like Jessie, I wanted a "prettier" camper, but I had to resign myself to getting an ugly one, in order to afford it.💰👎 I've stopped for a little while because I got injured doing it but as the weather warms up I'm going to start doing more. Actually tomorrow I'm going to upload a new video. I realize that it's not about the life that you live while in your tiny home, bus, camper, whatever. But it is like what Jesse and many others have gone through, rehabbing an old camper so that you can live in it. And that part is totally not glamorous! I think that living in it will be the easiest part of the whole thing!🌟😄👍 I will warn you, my videos aren't really great. 🤔 The information is good but the cinematography, if you will, is not great. 😏😔I'm just trying to get information out to people, not learn editing skills, at this point! 😀

The answer is really different for everyone, but most people who travel work remote jobs. Rachel works for a non-profit remotely and I run a business remote back in WA as well as get some funds from this channel and some other blogs we have written. Just like building the bus you have to be creative with how you make money and for the most part can’t rely on just one source of income. When you create multiple streams of revenue it’s a lot easier to get by.

@SoulfulBusLife
@SoulfulBusLife 4 жыл бұрын
So far we have not had any negative experiences, but we never stay somewhere if we don’t feel comfortable and we also try and avoid major cities, which is where most of your crime is. As for costs, we both have jobs that we can do remotely so that helps to fund our lifestyle. We also do not have a mortgage, car payment or any utility bills since we are completely self sufficient. So, because our bills are so small we don’t need to make very much to cover all our monthly expenses.
