Oh no!! So sad about your flippies! I recently left my dogs 'no spill' water dish behind at an overnight stop. When I realized I'd left it, I turned around a drove back 10km to get it. Thankfully it was still there! I lost one already when our travel trailer was stolen, so didn't want to lose this one too. I work the beet harvest and my piling site is 4 miles from Lake Huron ❤. If the weather is too warm to harvest I go rock hunt at the lake 😊. Almost time to go too!

Hi there, I don't know how far in the UP you plan on going but the Grand Marais beach is a rock hunters heaven and it's absolutly beautiful. Also off of US 2 in Naubinway there's a rest area that has beach access w a dog beach. I actually stayed overnight there on my travels up north.

@@jimgoff1170right that’s the line … the song … years ago I was like what’s that “Mackinaw” !! I remember going to library to look it up, pre internet!!!! The second year of COVID I took a road trip, left Kansas, visited Colorado, picked up I-80 somewhere near Fort Collins, CO, took I-80 thru Wyoming to Salt Lake City, Utah, listened to Bob Seger coming and going on that trip … it was a very reflective trip.. Against the Wind, Like a Rock etc reflective tunes … life.. when you’re young you think you have time then one day 50, 60 rolls around and to quote a Nina Simone song you say to yourself “ Where did the time go, what is this thing called time”…. The song Who Knows Where the Time Goes?" is a song written by the English folk-rock singer and songwriter Sandy Denny. I love Nina’s version of the song ….

I use NexGard. I get it from the vet, and not sure if you can get it OTC. I used to use Bravecto. Which is also prescribed. Sorry I'm not more helpful. 🩷

Walmarts was great till we got to Montana! Forced me to find a campground glad I did found a nice one $25 a night water and electric so it worked out rested a day got shower ! We only stayed in Michigan for 2 days! Trying to fit alot in on this trip!

So glad you found some nice places for you and Joey along the Lake Huron coast. I born, raised, and still live here in Michigan. In my opinion, Lake Michigan shoreline is by far prettier scenery, but it's also a much pricier, snobbish, touristy area than Lake Hurons shoreline. Enjoy your journey and travel safe :)
