Solo HAMMOCK Camp on UNINHABITED Island | Kayak | Fishing

In this video I head offshore to an uninhabited island on the East Coast of New Zealand.
I slept in a hammock with a tarp above me for shelter , Cooked some meals with my butane gas cooker and did a bit of landbased fishing

Couple of hammock camping tips, Get an old style, as in fully unzippable, envelope sleeping bag, marbles and some paracord. Put marbles in 4 corners and tie in (clove hitch over material and marble) and tie up under hammock to hammock ropes. This gets you a sleeping bag hammock under your hammock wraping you up and creating a warm air cavity underneath. This sleeping bag is more important than the one you get into as that one crushes underneath you and let's in the cold. This is also a space to put your shoes/ socks so you can reach for them before touching ground. Backpack to tread on as you get into your sleeping bag out of your hammock before you get in bum first.

Awesome camping! Enjoyed the scenery! I love being near water. I also enjoy fishing! I remember fishing with a long tree branch for a fishing pole. Enjoyed your catch and release. Thankyou for showing the fish. They were nice looking fish!

That steak bait worked and imagine the fish you caught on an uninhabited island, those makeshift rod holders were innovative and also I must try that clip on sinker, I heard about it, never knew it wlll improve casting.
