Thank you! I use a double wide wise owl hammock with wise owl straps. Get ultralight tarp atleast 12x12 to have overhang over the Hamic. If the lows are below 55° get it cheap under quilt on Amazon. Then your normal, sleeping bag and pad inside and you’re good 👍

Yes the wood I used that morning was kept under the tarp and not enough smaller tinder unfortunately. Would love to see a video of you showing me how it’s done…

@@AtlasAdventures Hopefully I will be going camping again at the end of this month, the last time I went camping I tripped over a guy rope and broke my right arm and still recovering form it and I'm hoping it will be my first attempt at videoing it, don't expect to much though, at seventy years old and in bad health I will be looking to make things as easy as possible for myself.

Glad you like the video and subbed! The tarp was great. Its 12ft x 10ft Gold Armour Rainfly Tarp with tie loops all over. My hammock is a double wide one so its around 9 ft long and you want about a ft of overhang above both ends of the hammock. I used a smaller tarp around 9x9 in a windy storm and got drenched! a.co/d/1DS8uN1
