What a fantastic hike Carol...I almost felt like I did it with you 🙌 Your enthusiasm was almost palpable, which is basically how I feel about Mynydd Mawr too...so I'm glad you got to enjoy it 😍 didn't know it had been on your hit list for so long though 🙏 Shame about the mist, but with that wind 💨 not a place to take chances. It was completely in thick cloud the first time I reached the summit...and I did an even quicker about-turn than you, coming almost straight back down 😬 This July though, glorious sunshine, and the 360-degree views from the top...just breathtaking 😍 Seems to me your strength and endurance are just fine Carol 💪for me this is quite a tough, steep climb, both in ascent and descent...and you do these hikes back-to-back, with a camera in one hand and sometimes Mol's lead in the other...that's impressive 👏 Even as an ex-endurance athlete, I know I'd have my work cut out keeping up 🤔 Epic walk and video, thanks for sharing Carol 🤗🤗

@MartinG-e7b Oh well that's made me feel a little fitter lol hearing you say it's a tough one 😅. I suppose I don't take into account also like you pointed out, I'm doing these long walk each day pretty much....plus I'm knocking on a bit 🤣🤣. I'll definitely do it again and hopefully enjoy the views all the way up 😊

@@carol_ann_living.in.the.moment😂 you are absolutely in your prime Carol, and I won't entertain any other opinion 😂 Definitely one to do again, it's not too long, compared to some, and the views are stunning (weather permitting) 😍 ... and I hear there's good hospitality in Rhyd Ddu on occasions 😁 🤗🤗

Great video 😅. Molly and her stones 😂😂. A small metal flask is a very good idea to take with you. I carry one with me and a bigger flask and main lunch in the car. I've never been caught in the mists, but you're right to feel a bit anxious!! I guess if the mist rolls in all you can do is stop and wait for it to pass. Love your purple hat and jacket ❤.

Hi carol, wonderful video as usual, it was the Snowdon Marathon on Saturday, a big event every year, from Llanberis, up Pen y Pass, down Gwynant to Beddgelert, up to Rhyd Ddu, to Waunfawr, then up & over to Llanberis, we live opposite Mynydd Mawr in Betws Garmon 😊 we like to view the mountains from the bottom 😂

Epic, what a great walk and you just make it look so easy. Oh that Molly, be still my beating heart she is just beautiful. Do you use the teddy bear bedding in the caravan, an absolute game changer for the winter. Thank you for sharing Carol. Looking forward to the next one.

It was quite a walk but well worth it for the views ♥️ In my last caravan I had Teddy Bear bedding on most of the season lol but I've not needed it in the new van...its definitely warmer than my old one. I do love Teddy bedding though...have it on all the beds at home during the winter 😊

Just south of this is another fab walk and a nice climb, Mynydd Drws-y-coed. Remote and fairly straight forward but I probably wouldn’t do it on my own. Then again there’s something very special being up there with nothing to bother you except the wind, the rain, the climb, the rocks…

I think I done about 7 miles so not loads but a lot of uphill 🤣. Molly has always liked to collect things on her walks but it used to always just be sticks. Since we went to Scotland she's just developed this fascination with stones lol...thing is she's going for bigger ones on every walk now 😂❤️

Can I let you into a little secret? There is an easier route up Mynydd Mawr😮. Don't tell anyone, but the route from Rhosgadfan area is easier. Cycled up Mynydd Mawr years ago, took me an hour to get up, and 10 minutes to get down.

If you let Molly take all those stones back with you,you would probably end up with a dry stone wall around your caravan 😅👍
