Gosh. No wonder you were tired. Those gorges were seriously debris strewn. The side one you explored looked spectacular. And what a beautiful looking snake. (I can say that because I’m watching it on YT and not as close as you actually were 😅.). Nice start to 2025!

Haha, yeah, that snake was a bit of a surprise. I didn't even know it was there until I looked down to pick up my trekking pole. The snakes here are quite beautiful, and it's great to see them under the right circumstances.

Beautiful gorge. Interesting snake pose at the end. When you say hot, what sort of air temperature do you mean? 30, 35?

I actually didn't check the temperature, maybe that was a good thing. 😅 it felt low 30's but not much respite from the sun, it was humid, and bush bashing and scrambling is hard work so it felt pretty oppressive.
