Thanks for the instructional videos! I am Krav Maga practitioner for five years. I like watching how others teach their martial arts skills. You are very good in explaining each part of the movements. Easy for all levels to grasp! Keep up the good work. I will be watching your other videos....OSS!

My pleasure and thank you for the compliment. My goal is to share and document my journey into the martial arts to make the learning process smoother for others. I'm glad that people are watching and gaining skill worldwide! Best wishes, OSU!

I just love the fact that Sakan shows you the moves in an explanatory manner that gives you the confidence that YOU YOURSELF can do it.

These drills bring back memories about how much I loved the FMA these forms are sort, can be tailored to ones fitness level are easy to implement they're practical, and they're FUN
@SakanLam6 жыл бұрын
I think fun is probably the most important aspect for me. Combat application and self-defense come second, haha. Glad you got to reminisce with them.

Scott Reynolds I recently went to an Urban Combatives seminar with Lee Morrison and noticed that he did similar movements when demonstrating solo training. He would slap and tap his arms and chest to create simulated impact... Very much like Silat!
@eeaaahhj4 жыл бұрын
@@SakanLam As for myself, i found your videos after having seen Lee Morrison's solo pad training drills (with focus mitts). I had noticed on youtube some silat movements (for close quarter combat) quite similar to Lee Morrison's ones... Then ended up looking at your videos :) ... Here are Lee's related videos for those interested: - with 1 focus pad: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pX2raYN3nLWVm5o - with 2 focus pads: 1) kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIjTYYFumLeqhck 2) kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2rbdpiHabucmtU

That one feels like you sould do it a lot. Seems like it would be good for breathing , balance, strength, and more. You can do a lot with it. I think it is very usefull over and over again.

Hey boss not clear what 5 (fighting stance) or 6 (block, trap or parry) are for.
@SakanLam4 жыл бұрын
No problemo, amigo. After you knee the opponent, they should bend over and fold quite a bit. When you pressure forward after the knee, you are controlling their head or neck and forcing them off balance as you step. No. 6 is for throwing their head and overturning their arm at the underhook. This video has a good example of the head turn (Putar Kepala). kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZ7Ndpl3fc5mZrs

Thank you my friend. I've spent so much time researching videos on KZbin that I decided to give back to the community through this channel. Around this time of the year my energy and creativity levels are low, so I'll try to pick myself up and put a new entry in this series. Take care!

like everything but on the cover block or elbow i like to make sure my hand is atleast on my own neck to prevent the hook better from breaking into my cover block or elbow attack
@SakanLam9 жыл бұрын
+Pack Attack Thanks brother. Yes, I understand what you mean... sometimes I get lazy or sloppy and don't cover tight enough, especially during pad training. In regards to the cover, I know that Sifu Mark Edward Stewart actually likes to make a triangle by putting his fist on top of his head and redirecting the force of the whole attack. Different systems and preferences. Appreciate your insight.
