I walk around the old city of Damascus, and in a very busy street for street food, I try several types of Syrian food. Everything is filmed with a kind of hidden camera, as I don't really know if I am actually allowed to film when alone.

It’s not illegal to film in the streets with or without guide, it’s just illegal to film police and army check points. And shawarma now cost between 15000 and 2000 syp. Thx for coming hope you come again

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding that happened to you.. It's completely legal go film the city, streets, yourself... but you have to avoid focussing on people.. Maybe the police man told you to stop filming him particularly.. not to stop the whole filming thing 😅.. You can film with & without a guide.. it's totally fine.. Hope you're doing well.. and you're most welcome anytime to your country Syria 🇸🇾.. Viva la France et Syrie.

@@tonbezembinder7692 Syria has been suffering from corruption for 50 years, my friend, and because of corruption, protests emerged in 2011, which turned into a war later..... During the war period, corruption became more than it was before.... Corruption is often in Syria when Traffic policemen or ordinary policemen, and bribery of these will not cost you more than one dollar.... Corruption in the remaining government departments is present, but it is not in abundance, and photography in the streets is allowed, provided that you do not focus on people directly and clearly..... ...the safe governorates in Syria currently are Aleppo, Tartous, Lattakia, Damascus, Homs, Hama, As-Suwayda, and Daraa.... You will have to use an interpreter because speaking foreign languages is not common in Syria..... You can leave at any time On the day there is no danger........ Often no one will ask you about your religion. They will just ask you about your nationality out of curiosity..... Be sure to stay in a three-star hotel or more because some bad hotels may suffer from a problem of interruption Electricity........ do not look for clubs or gathering places for gays because homosexuality here is a crime punishable by law.. .. all citizens of the world are welcome here (except the Israelis)..... if you do not have a For enough money to rent a hotel room, tell me and I'll host you in my humble home 😊

The police or army people whether in uniforms or in plain cloths usually ask people not to film them or important places because these photos can be used by militants to prepare their attacks. Otherwise you can film anything else especially the touristic areas where dozens of videos were taken recently by many tourists. Obviously, you misinformed by your guide.

Maybe I was not lucky, but in a previous video the police told me that I was not allowed to film by myself, so I didn't want to be arrested in Syria... Actually, when you are with a guide, it's easy to film, but everything is different when you are on your own, and on that walk, I was on my own. That's why the title mentions "Solo", as usually tourists go around with a guide in Syria.
