I finally resume my e-bike journey. I leave Amman, and soon after, some guys from Gaza invite me for a watermelon feast. As I continue my journey, I arrive in Dhiban, where I have a delicious kebab sandwich, and where i meet a lovely Syrian man who sells sweets. Finally, as I camp not far from Dhiban, some local bedouins offer me to share a mansaf with me... they bring the cushions near my tent, and we enjoy a wonderful mansaf under the stars.

@Selena Nemri As an Israeli who is also familliar with Norther European sociaty and some European cultural norms, I have a somewhat outsiders perspective. There is something quite unique and special in the Levant area, it feels rooted to the land and our long history of civilization. You should take pride in the local traditions of taking care of ones guest. I have experienced this first hand, and it's genuine and humbling. To my knowladge, the only European country that has a simmilar tradition is Finland.

I've also experienced so much hospitality in Islamic countries. I was doing a motorbike trip in northern Pakistan and I ran out of fuel. My wife was worried as we were up in the karakoram mountains, but I just knew someone would help us. And within literally minutes, a guy in a car pulled up, asked if we needed help, then drove 45 mins to his house to collect a fuel can, then drove way further to the nearest place for fuel, filled the can, then drove us all the way back to my bike. He didn't want to accept a single penny from me, and I had to basically shove some money in his pocket. I have to admit, I was terrified at first when we started driving, due to the image of Pakistan from Western media, but boy was I wrong.

Yves, You reminded me of the 3 years I spent in Jordan after I left my country Iraq and then went to USA. Beautiful days. The weather in Amman was amazing with not so many really hot days. Hi to all Jordanians brothers and sisters. Yves, what prompt you to choose Middle East as adventure destination?

Vloggers in the last years played a great role by identifying the true meaning of the eastern culture, thanks to them many western people start to recognize the true image of eastern people and start wiping out the extreme image they were being feed by the media through many years. Thank you Yves for the wholesome videos you make, although the language barrier between you and most of the people you meet but you manage to keep things wholesome!
