Jason you are probably the world's foremost expert on paddling the Mad River. Have you ever considered publishing a paddle guide? Maybe maps, put in and take out locations, gps coordinates for campsites, hazards, etc, etc. I bet you could sell that as a download or something like that. Heck, I'd buy that in a heartbeat!

Awesome video man . I am glad you didn't get rain on man . My last kayak 🛶 trip we get Heavy rain , Tornado 🌪 hit us , Heavy winds , & the weather man said that it was going to be very very Extremely hot 🥵 95° to 100° Degrees & sunny . He got that part right but not the Severe weather . We had no idea about the Severe storms because we had no cellphone Signal & i had my whole entire family kayaking 🛶 . My in law & friends was trying to call & text us to tell us about the weather & to get off the water . I really like your Crocs man . I find the same pair red & black at the beach in a sz17 & when I went back to get them like 3/4 hours later the store was closed & it was our last night there . I am still trying to find some crocs to wear man while kayaking 🛶 cuz i have to kayak 🛶 barefooted 👣 because of how extremely wide my feet 🦶 are . I would have to cut a Section out of the toes box area for my lil toes to hang out because of how my toes are Evenly straight across . My toes being Evenly straight across is mostly my Main problem because footwear is made for toes that are at a 45° Degrees angle & my toes are Evenly straight across . I am about to do a 30 to 40 miles kayak camping 🏕 trip with my whole entire family ( wife , 6 boys , daughter in law , Granddaughter , my lil brother , & his son ) with my wife co-worker family & with some family friends . I am really really looking forward to doing this trip man . Were is your buddy at man the ( Colonel ) . He is missing out man . Thanks you for sharing this video buddy. @natehoover52663 ай бұрын
I finally did my first trip on the Mad a couple weeks ago. From 36 to Eagle City rd. Then took the bike path pretty much all the way back to my truck. It was definitely crystal clear. Not as much wildlife as some other rivers but it was nice and deep enough. Ive been section paddling the Sandusky River since its my hometown river. Need some rain to continue on it though.
@jasonwish-3 ай бұрын
Nice! Just past 55 is one of my favorite sections. Glad you were able to finally get out there, did you use an e-bike?
@natehoover52663 ай бұрын
@jasonwish- good to know. I'll do that section next time I come down. Water is pretty low right now. Yeah I used my E-bike. It sure does make for a nice and easy trip back to the truck. And since a lot of bike trails seem to be along rivers, it works out well. But even on the back roads it's nice. It adds another fun element to the trip. Yak 10 miles, bike 10 miles and then grab a burger and chocolate milkshake. It's about as perfect as a day can get.

@georgedouglas9342 yeah I feel ya. I got an E-bike for day trips. I could probably get a two day 30 mile trip in. I just hide the bike where I'm going to end and ride it back to my truck. It's surprising how many bike paths are actually along rivers so most of the ride back you don't have to worry about cars. The Kokosing is a favorite for that.
