Exactly but the good thing is martial classes can use the doom hammer and arrow of ilmater to prevent him from healing and can finish him without long rests I think if you keep fighting him in all location in the last location you fight him he will make last stand I might be wrong well wizards get bone chill too but wizards can get oneshot without crit immunity idk if I want to take this fight on the gale run what do you think should try to kill him?🤔

@ honestly that’s a good question I pretty much never use hale for anything other than a abjuration frost wizard. He just purposefully draws opportunity attacks with armor of agathys but it doesn’t go down since he has the arcane ward

@@mythicaledeg Maybe use the water and some Ice or Lightning with Gale to double the damage? And make sure he has the Adamantine shield. Or set up for some heavy Barrelmancy 😁

About to do this fight as a solo Shadow Monk. Probably have to throw heavy things from a great height to smash through that Diamond Scales f***ery.

Oh my god the fact that it has that diamond scales ability and frequently flees combat makes this encounter so annoying.

yup And if he gets a crit on you on a run where you cannot use crit immunity you might get one shot at level 6/7 🥲

Maybe inflict wounds (upcasted) would’ve worked with the diamond scales early on… it’s the best cleric mêlée spells in my opinion :)

Yes difficult fight. I am also doing a solo run with a light cleric and did this fight yesterday. I am currently fighter 1/cleric5 and I destroyed the shield with speed potion / water + ice & lightning spells scrolls then after the shield is down I fought it with doom hammer (to prevent regen). I consumed 4 or 5 speed potions. At level 7 I think that I will switch to spore Druid 2/light cleric 5
