Smart move getting off I-17 it's a mad house with all the construction going on. Bobby D's BBQ in Jerome is fantastic, and worth the ride. There is a stunning dirt road out of Jerome to the Perkinsville bridge and then the road takes you to Williams and the I-40, easy dirt road and a great ride. Thank you for taking us along.

You just rode through my favorite motorcycling country on the planet. The folks lived in Cottonwood for many years, so I’ve enjoyed that country a lot. I love Jerome, and 89A from Cottonwood through Sedona and up to Flag is just a delight. Lots of fantastic dirt riding there, too. And it’s just about time to catch the aspens turning. It’s a great time of year to hit Lockett Meadow in the interior valley on Mt. Humphrey. Man, you are making me so homesick, but in a good way! 😃😃😃
@FTAAdventures Жыл бұрын
That’s awesome! I love that area too. I need to explore more of the dirt roads up there.
@tracythorleifson Жыл бұрын
@@FTAAdventures The next time you get up that way, instead of taking 89A up through Oak Creek Canyon, turn south at the “Y” on to 179 going south. As you cross Oak Creek, at Garland’s Trading Post, pick up Schnebly Hill Rd. heading north. It’s a great dirt road. It’ll dump you back on to I-17 just south of Mund’s Park, but from Mund’s Park all the way up to Flag on either side of I-17 there’s just a terrific web of national forest dirt roads that will take you all the way up to Flagstaff. Some of them are really pretty, and it keeps you off the blacktop. Plenty of dispersed camping, too. Enjoy! 😃

I visited that AZ area a while back, but sadly using 4 wheels due to work and travel constraints. Hit all the AZ areas you are talking about and I NEED to get back there on 2 wheels now that retirement has kicked in. In Sept/Oct I am heading to Utah for 2 weeks, Moab, and St George areas, then on down to Texas Hill Country for another 8 days. I am a Toyhauler RV/Rider guy, sleeping in the tent isn't so good for the ole bones anymore. Park somewhere for a couple weeks, explore all around then move on. Probably hit NE Arkansas on the way back home to Pa on this trip. Enjoy your ride to Utah and that area. I did it a long time ago on 2 wheels.

Hey, Tim! I appreciate this video and that was my most recent trip through Arizona starting in Prescott with some Disperse camping there .... From there, I did venture into Jerome going northbound. But before I hit the room, there was a mountain top camp area That had dispersed camping but unfortunately they were closed. I then traveled on to Sedona where you will find the spurs camping off of Schnebly canyon road, which goes from downtown sedona all the way through approximately fourteen miles to the seventeen. There's a great lookout point Approximately five miles from sedona comma plus is also dispersed camping on that road. I too, then followed into sedona For a couple of nights and then traveled on eighty nine a to flagstaff. I did have two nights Is reserved in the grand canyon , But I did not get to stay there because of the weather and I just made my way back home in one day, which was four hundred and fifty miles from flagstaff to orange county, california Beautiful scenery! Be safe and travels and thank you for everything you do on youtube

Always deliver with the great content Tim, I am from Winslow which is about 45 min east of flagstaff. I have to agree the 87 and 89a are some of the best riding here in AZ. I have the same bike and saw you had that pelican case on the back. Did you use a custom mount for it, or did you use the triumph box plate? Just curious, But great content man I look forward to the next video. Stay safe and keep it on two wheels 👍
