Can you do a carnivore kind of diet? Eat a bunch of ribeye and ground beef?
@hueysegura69567 ай бұрын
Glad that you are accepting the insulin resistance issue. Take it from one who ignored it until type 2 diabetes set in,,,you don’t want that. Keto is a great way to head it off. Weight is the biggest contributor and unfortunately the carbs in beer does too. I lost the weight and changed my diet and it improved but it didn’t resolve it. You still can change it and I hope it works for you.

Seeing your “behind the scenes” of filming is how it is! That’s why I stopped my channel. I found myself worrying about the shot, filming, setting up for the “perfect scene” etc and not actually relaxing and enjoying where I was. I could never find that balance like you need to find to have fun and enjoy making videos. People don’t realize, I don’t think, just how much goes into these videos.

Hi everyone! Jess I m glad you like (or seem to to like the area I am so lucky to live in . I'm lucky enough to live 60miles from the dragon and 61miles from Hendersonville in WNC AND about 10 minutes from the Blue ridge parkway 😊 where there is no better motorcycle riding IN THE WORLD!!! sorry.just rubbing it in a little 😮. Mike.

I re-joined a conservation club recently that I was a member of 20 years ago. It's a 45 minute ride through the country from my house. They allow me to keep a locker there for my second set of hammock camping gear. So far I have had the whole place to myself when camping. Firewood is free. There's a rowboat at the pond full of fish. Yearly dues are lower than I spend for a three day campsite on most of my trips. It has been a sanity saver for me. I sometimes go there just to practice archery, or hike through the woods. I went from a 10.1 A1C to a 5.5. I've been in the 5s for three years now without meds.Besides running close to a keto diet, I have a little Organic "Ceylon" cinnamon every day, and a 1 mg. Chromium Picolinate tablet.

So much prefer when you talk to us. Glad you made both versions. Out of curiosity, what's the "watch time" difference between the two videos? Also, hammock camping isn't for everyone for sure. However, there are ways to get around the gear on the ground issue for sure. One of the things I do is use a second hammock for storage. That said, for me, the sleep value of hammock camping outweighs any inconvenience of gear storage. Nothing like a good hammock sleep IMHO. 😊

Hopefully you can head off the Type 2. I didn't realize what was going on until it was too late. Now I take five meds alone to control my A1c, two of which are injections. Three others for HBP, Cholesterol and heartburn/GERD. Not to mention the four vitamins, lol. The camping thing is awesome. I would do it, but I don't think my back would put up with it, and the wife is too "big-city girl", and has to have a shower and access to a mall daily. Even if she doesn't go, lol. So I live a little vicariously through you on this. Enjoy, be safe!

Jess and fans of her two wheels. Please do not ignore the signs of pre diabetic issues. It is fixable if cared for. I was just diagnosed with a rare form of adult onset type one diabetes a week ago. Ignored the symptoms of resistance, then ignored type 2 symptoms until insulin would no longer be produced due to chronic pancreatitis. Its a complete lifestyle change mid fourtys. Been riding all my life and bought a new street glide a yr ago but have been to sick to really experience long distance travel, a rally, a bike night, thought a new bike would improve quality of life but should have addressed the real issues. Dont Make My Mistake. Handle your health so you can keep riding. Be safe and keep two wheels on the road. ✌️

Take that insulin resistance seriously. I was insulin resistant for a long time and controlled it with diet and exercise. I’m now full fledged diabetic for over 20 years. It’s a progressive disease. I’m on one shot a day of synthetic insulin. I was on pills and diet for a while and found side effects are horrible. 80 units of insulin a day and I’m in good control. I’m also nearly 70 years old also.

I did. Lost a lot of weight. I fell off the wagon and some major life/career changes are making it difficult to get back on track. Also I love sweet's. Even week's into carb free intermittent fasting I would crave sugar. Plain seltzer is what I try to use to satisfy my cravings.
