お疲れ様でした！よくできました！ Late to the party here, but had to jump in to say I love The Red Cathedral both solo and multi-player. I realized in your playthough that I could take more advantage of the "lose a prestige to gain rubles" free action, especially when decorating. (Thanks for the tip!) I have the Contractors expansion on pre-order. (It's not coming until June because I also ordered a game that's coming out in June and everything will be shipped together.) Don't know if Contractors changes solo play dramatically, but I'd love to see you try it out....or you could do the more advanced side of the player board (where decorations are not immediately available and have to be "unlocked.") Nice game! Really enjoyed this one. (Question: Have you ever played Bargain Basement Bathysphere?)

It took me a play or two to figure out how to take advantage of that! What else did you order along with the Contractors expansion? I'd like to try out the expansion too but haven't committed to buying it, especially since I almost exclusively play this one solo! Like you said, if I want some variability, I could always just use the reverse side of the board, too! Thank again for checking out the video and for the comment, James! (And no, I've never even heard of it! What kind of game is that?) 🤣

@@BoardGameDave You're definitely playing it correctly as that action can be completed any time during one's turn. It's a great way to generate money in a game where the rubles can be hard to come by! The games that I've ordered: In the Footsteps of Darwin (a quick and breezy game with amazing art that releases in June), Contractors expansion, Nimalia (a puzzly little game that requires you to make difficult choices throughout the game in order to maximize whatever your scoring each round...just added it to my order yesterday), and the aforementioned Bargain Basement Bathysphere (a solo only roll and write game that has a 20-game "campaign" in which you play through three different maps and accrue rewards along the way as you successfully complete missions). Don't know if you like roll and writes or not, but if you do this one might be a good candidate since you play a lot of games solo.

That's good to know that I'm playing that rule correctly! It almost seems like cheating because there are like no restrictions on when you can do that!
