I had dismissed this game as uninteresting, based on the theme and pictures of the components, but all the rondel combos sucked me in! The gameplay seems very puzzle-y and compelling. This might be the best small box Euro game since Targi was released.

32:27 - you moved the white dice but instead of collecting 1 ruble, you collected 1 gold instead (32:51), thinking you had moved the red dice!

6:30 Prestige points are the actual victory points, so gaining one prestige is always just that: 1VP. For most of the score track, it takes multiple recognition points to get 1VP

at 13:20 boy what a missed opportunity, you could have moved the red die 2 extra spaces by paying 2 rubles and then activate all 3 dice to get 6 rubles and after that use 3 rubles to move yet again another 4 points on the prestige track. So exciting I'm ordering this game definitely. :)

Great playthrough Rahdo! Love your enthousiasm! However, not sure you can lose a Prestige before having earned one (5:54). That's why there isn't one printed on space 1. Thanks for letting us know when a game would have been in your top 10! Red Cathedral is my 3rd best game of 2021 behind Cloudage and Praga Caput). Faiyum is on the way though!!!

Just 2 corrections: 1. Your dice is the red one not the green 2. I don't think that your first move is legal. In the beginning of game you don't have prestige to sacrifice for the option to trade prestige for two rubles

I think it's legal. If you're between 1 and 2 prestige, you can drop back to 1. He's between 0 and 1 dropping to 0

But there is no prestige symbol on space "Zero".... On BGG rule Forum, it says that you cannot spend a prestige before having earned one...

Hey Rahdo, you've probably been asked this before, but when you play as Jen, do you play how you think your wife would play it, or you just play as how you would play it?

mostly i just try to demonstrate very different options about the game, so when i'm making jen's turns, it's mostly just me focusing on how i can do something different that still makes strategic sense from what i did :)

Correction at 34:40 is wrong. You can always place a workshop in any space without one, you just can't place in a white space that still has a banner

i stopped doing it awhile ago because honestly it's a LOT more work and is much more stressful to film that way. i think the last runthrough i filmed freecam style was the 2.0 version of pret a porter, coming up on 2 years ago...

yes, you're the first person to notice (or at least comment). i've been recording at higher resolution and it does create a slight delay. i'm looking into it! :)

So what is the penalty that would be suffered if someone builds above you before you? Isn’t it that you end up losing something? And does that penalty amount to any “take that” - which would make you not like this game, as much?
