I'm 20 weeks and it's so nice to hear you talk about your experience, esp since you're ahead of me! 💕 I'm guessing Jane for baby girl's name!

Sciatic pain is how I know I'm pregnant. When it happened, I knew from my first baby, to go get a pregnancy test. Then it's a week or two on the sofa resting until the baby grows a bit more and shifts the weight against the nerve. I had a neighbor who had it intensely throughout the entire pregnancy, she couldn't drive, or do anything.

Tracking kicks - my doctor just said to count once in the evening, and they give you a goal - need to see how long it takes to get X kicks - and you will get to that number in a few minutes for sure

My sister is due to have her second around the same time as you and it's funny how similar she is this time around. She can't even remember how many weeks pregnant she is haha and is a lot more relaxed than the first time!

My reflux was so painful in my last pregnancy. Absolutely nothing was helping. Someone shared that 1/4 tsp of baking soda in a cup of water helps. That truly was the only thing that helped me!

Thank you for this podcast, Lucy!! I can’t wait to listen to the podcast with your lactation consultant. One question I have is around pumping - I am considering not doing this the second time round (and just exclusively BF if I can or topping up with formula) as I didn’t find the pumping very helpful or efficient. Would love to hear your and the consultant’s thoughts on this. Is there something I am not thinking of? X

For acid reflux, my best friend has it chronically due to health issues, and recommended Gaviscon, and it WORKS!

Make sure to follow the directions when you take it, it works differently than something like Tums. She took Prevacid long term and now has to take apple cider vinegar before eating since her body adjusted to making less acid, so definitely something to consider.

According to my midwife and PT sciatic pain in pregnancy can be caused because of hormones and relaxin that soften muscles and ligaments causing everything to move around and putting pressure on the nerves. I could not move between week 6 and 8, and clearly it’s not because of any weight from the baby 😅

When you say the style of your baby's name, I wonder if it's a gender-neutral name
