I have to say , I’m always impressed by your ability to film and give us a realistic idea of the sea state and wave size not many manage to do that . Not to mention sailing on and not allowing the lack of an engine to determine your plans .

To be sailing like THAT, without an engine, in THOSE waters, under THAT sky. Can't help but watch your video and feel the connection between what you are doing and the mariners of old. The Mediterranean has, quite possibly, the oldest tradition in the ancient world of a man adventuring, in his vessel, on the open sea. How much different is what you are doing compared to Jason and the Argonauts and countless others millenia ago in the same waters and under the same sky? Great vibes.

While agree on the romantics part 😂 It made me think that today “sailing without a motor” is a big thing. Nevertheless, I think there is some differences left :) like weather forecasts, gps, auto steering, even furlex.

As simple as it seems, nobody but you actually shows the wind and sea conditions for more than 8 seconds. I hope I'm not alone in saying that I enjoy watching you sail as much as visiting places on shore. The journey is always more important than the destination - and you never seem to forget that. It's what makes your channel unique (that's saying something because there are thousands of sailing channels). Also, explain when you can about *why* you adjust the sails a certain way. You do mention it in passing a lot, but never in much detail. Basically 90% of your audience couldn't sail in any random direction you pointed towards. Keep it simple. For the love of God do not hire an editor. You will lose everything that makes your channel worth watching.

Hey Sam! If you salt your meat before cooking it can last way longer. I had a porterhouse that I salted with about 2-3tbsp. That steak sat in the fridge for about 10 days. I thought it had went bad. It didn’t smell sour so I grilled it. Best steak I ever had. Salt is your friend on these adventures.

Hey Sam. The prop being on a taper, once the prop shaft nut is backed off a bit, it may be possible to shock the prop free from the taper by holding a hammer against one side of the prop boss as a shock absorber while striking the other side radially with another hammer. Axial load from the puller you have should help. No axial hammering! May just get lucky and save you a haul out.

❤ from Australia Bro. Malta is The hottest place I have ever been to. The summer was terrible. The family I stayed with all slept on the roof to stay cool. That was in 1986 or 87 and a girl was drowned by a octopus that grabbed her and took her under the water to far and it let her go after a few minutes but she was gone. Terrible to watch it all unfold. It was the biggest octopus 🐙 I had ever seen and did not think they did that.

Besides the obvious appeal of your adventures, you have a great filming and editing style which is hard to duplicate. You come from the entertainment biz, so you know how hard it is to create an engaging experience. Lots of people make passages, but your HI video went viral for a reason. If you outsourced this key element, I'm not sure you could duplicate the cinema verite.
@larkangel6593

You could try using an editor for an episode and test it on your patrones. I'd bet 100:1 odds it wouldn't be anything like what people have become accustomed to. In fact, your style is actually a function of your rushed backlog. The quick cuts, etc make your vids what they are.

Compare and contrast: time/money/energy spent maintaining/fixing/fuelling engine with the challenge of sailing without engine. But some sort of auxiliary is needed ... sculling oar maybe, pushing big boat with dinghy? Or perhaps your electric outboard would propel PH for short distances in flat water to get in/out of marinas etc.
