And on this Memorial Day weekend I On this Memorial Day weekend, I wish to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of our men and women of our armed forces who have sacrificed themselves for their fellow soldiers, airmen, marines and coast guardsmen, as well as their families!! @@jaredrutledge8618 oh I understand stand that, I understand improvising learning to use what you have. There's no reason why someone can't have a full tang knife in this time plenty of cheap quality full tangs. Chosing not to buy a full tang is limiting yourself, don't put yourself in a position where you have to improvise or work harder because you chose to buy a lesser knife. I'm not saying I'm right just the way I see it, practice with everything to be familiar but don't limit yourself to a lesser knife make sure to carry a full tang and if your caught in a situation you have it.

Ok now, hold on,....what happened with the worm? Like, we didn't see you catching any fish! I don't think tossing the rabbit entrails into the river was a good idea. Unless maybe bears, other similar carnivores are in the area that might be unexpected unwelcome visitors. Maybe use the rabbit entrails to snag/trap crawdads? Ah, but must not harvest too much food because refrigeration not available. Can you carry that smoked rabbit a few days for travel snacks? Can I start a fire with a 9 volt battery and 0000 steel wool? Guess I need to attempt! Would human hair substitute for the 0000 steel wool? Hmmm.... Good episode! Create a few more demonstrating other tool/crafts in alternative environments. Desert in summer??? Badlands in summer??? And tricks/tips for bear resistance? Methods/Items in the pack to set perimeter alarm? Nows the time!!!

Thanks for the great video. As some of the other commenters said, it also reminded me of my teenage years spending time in the bush by a creek. Looks like your property is blessed with a plethora of fish and wildlife. I think eating the opossum would be a very last resort for me. Here's a tip for casting lead. When you're melting lead, unless it is pure, the other elements such as tin start to separate out. Before you cast, drop a piece of paraffin, bees wax. When the wax melts ignite the vapors then stir the pot. Better yet look for some hardened pine rosin to crush. Pine rosin is the same stuff used as a soldering flux. Use the powdered rosin the same as the wax, and always make sure you have good ventilation. Thank you for your service to our country. I truly appreciate the safety and freedom given to us by people like yourself.

How come everybody's bugout bag on KZbin is so small? There's plenty of gear stuffed in there, but no room for food or water. I feel less than prepared with anything less than a half gallon of water in my bag, and often carry more than that. You could realistically travel miles on foot between water sources. Then there's food. You'll be burning more carbs than usual in the field, on a daily basis, so why do most bugout bags I see on KZbin not even have enough food for a half a day under normal conditions, nevermind under strenuous conditions, marching miles, maybe even escape and evasion. You'll be burning almost double the carbs more than usual, so why carry less?! Most of the volume in bags I pack is taken up with food and water. Yours should be too or else you risk being weak and dehydrated when in the worst scenarios
