I have been wanting a patio heater for a while now since I use my grills and smokers all year round. During the winter it can get a bit cold tending to my grills so when Solo Stove approached me about their Tower Patio Heater I jumped at the opportunity.
(This is my affiliate link for Solo Stove. If you buy a patio heater (or any of their other stuff) I will make a few bucks)

I have fired this patio heater up a couple times now. It spits out over 72,000 BTUs where most propane patio heaters are only at around 42,000. This patio heater runs on pellets (use the ones for pellet stoves, not the ones designed for pellet smokers) and you will get around 3 hours from 25 pounds of pellets. That works out to ~$1 per hour which is pretty darn reasonable.
There will be some follow up videos where I do some temperature tests and different distances from the heater but overall it does a good job throwing off heat and covers about a 10 foot radius around the unit.
All in all I have been happy with the unit so far. I still need to use it more and be on the lookout for some follow up videos but if you are looking for a patio heater give this one a look.

They seem nice but man…so much more of a burn hazard than the propane ones.

There are a lot of bad reviews. My guess is most of them are from the initial release. I'm willing to bet they fixed many of the issues with some redesigns. Mine is on order; we will see how it goes. Overall, I love the Solostove product. They make good stuff.

I haven't had any issues with mine yet. It didn't get a ton of use over the summer and has been under a cover for a couple months now but moving into fall I plan on using it more. Super easy to use and it can definitely throw some heat.

I have only used it a handful of times but it does a great job. Not a crazy amount of heat but enough to take the chill off and it covers a good 8-10 foot radius.

@@CompleteCarnivore thanks yeah also did you get the cover? And would you suggest it? I have seen many issues with rust.

@@irrelevantjoker37 I would definitely get the cover. I haven't left it out uncovered but there are places it seems like rain could collect or soak the pellets or something
