Looking at Google street maps is KEY! Sometimes you might be looking up a spot that’s only a 10 minute walk away from your hotel, but the area that you have to walk through is super dark, sketchy looking, etc etc and then you have to end up calling an Uber

Yessss!! Exactly! There’s a world of difference btwn a 10 minute sketch walk and a 10 minute walk. 😂

I usually do one day on the hop on hop off & keep the maps. Not every city but big cities. It provides a layout of the city. I take bamboo cutlery & a camping/lay flat Tupperware or ziplock bags. It makes so easy to pack a lunch or take leftovers home. I do STEP. I also look at the local police number and location closest to my accommodations.

I’m loving your videos. I know you it’s geared to female solo travel but the tips are great and applicable to everyone! I have travelled the US and Europe solo and not having a buddy to lean on requires skills!

Thank you for the STEP program advice! This will be my first international solo travel trip to the UK. I'm used to traveling all over the US. Some advice I've heard is you can down load google maps so if you loose internet connection you will have it on your device as long as nothing happened to your device.

Hi Sylvie!! Yes!! So true! This is a great tip. I am the worst at this because I always forget to do this. But it's so helpful! I hope you have the best time on your trip! 🎊💕

Here’s a travel tip! For all! Put a privacy screen protector on your phone so people can’t see if you are using maps on your phone to get around. Just keep glancing when you know your close to a turn or a destination. That way you don’t look like a tourist. And hey every so often place a text to a friend. Give a safe phrase that they will know your walking around and just send back something so know one will know. Also when I was in Rome we we’re coming back from the beach. My daughter and her friend let me know a man was following us and had been eyeing her friend on the train. I immediately popped into a store found a female worker and and told her. Her and a male employee followed me out and I showed them the man. He saw us and I pointed him out. We then stayed for about 30 minutes and we checked no guy and we went on. But I did keep looking back every so often to make sure.

The number 1 tip in my opinion is to have common sense. Don’t make the decisions they make in the movies😂.
