I think of all the free plugins I've ever used, Vital and Valhalla Supermassive are the ones that I'm absolutely floored by. Like, Vital is as functional and as good as Serum, I strongly recommend it for anyone new to learning synthesis. Supermassive is a $50+ value reverb and sounds so good - it's kinda ridiculous that it's free.
@zugrath162 жыл бұрын
The only downside with Vital is that it's a massive CPU hog (unless I'm only one experiencing this issue?)

I have been talking about FreeClip to everyone for years. I'm so happy someone else is spreading the word. If I were to recommend something else, it would be TDR Nova, which is probably the best visual EQ I've ever used. Granted, I haven't used the Fabfilter one, but TDR Nova does the job so well, I don't feel like I need it

+1 on the TDR stuff. I'm a bit so-so on supporting a Russian company, but Nova is irreplaceable to me and Molotok finds its way into all the vocal chains I do.

Vital is absolutely nuts. The sound quality is so good that it is hard to tell the difference between Vital and Serum with the same preset, and even less in a song. It's insane that the developers made it completely free. In my opinion, Vital makes it even more beginner friendly and has a much easier-to-understand and visual interface.

@@SolStateMusic can't say ive used the distortion a lot but I use like 15-30% of the reverb on every vocal I record because I just can't not. It even sounds good with other reverbs after it its just automatic for vocals for me and is smooth on anything really and opens up super wide if needed its something about the density like zero aliasing and the randomizer man its just a go to reverb. just that H-delay and tape from Airwindows can have some incredible results for a vocal
