I did the "boom" like you said! 1st boom didn't turn on, 2nd boom didn't turn on, and the 3rd boom it shattered the screen. and my phone still wouldn't turn on! So, the 4th boom went right into the trash! And all of a sudden I see something flashing in the trash can so I looked and it was just my lil valve stem light! I got so pissed off and throw my trash can out on the street and it landed on some guys windshield a 2015 Camaro! The guy told me "don't be mad cuz your driving a '99 Honda!". At the end that guy left with my trash can and my dead phone! Lol jk I did tried it but it didn't work! I did have a hammer in mind but I didn't go that far

OMG. Thank you so much for making this video. I watched the first one, but my phone was beyond taking the battery out and clearing the RAM. In a desperate attempt to salvage my phone, I clicked on the link to this one and it did the job! Nothing that I searched helped at all because I knew it wasn't a software problem. Please help! I tried to unroot my s4, so I followed the steps on Google and tried to unroot my s4 using ES file explorer, & then I must've accidently deleted something of the file system.. Then I power my phone off, power it back on and it won't turn on.The Samsung logo in white writing appears on for like 3 seconds then it powers off by itself and then it vibrates for like 5 timed ... did I hard brick or soft brick my device OK so when i insert my battery into my Samsung galaxy s4 it vibrated and the Samsung logo appeared for 2 seconds and the phone automatically turned off and there is no red light indicating that l am charging my phone and i couldn't get into download mode by pressing the home button and the volume down button at the same time what is this problem is it a hard or soft brick any ideas

It is July 15 - 2015 on the 14th my phone ( S3 lite t999l ) had the exact same problem in which it was stuck on the Samsung logo & t-mobile logo. Nothing was working in terms of after trying to reboot. I gave it a few hitting's on the power corner and the Reboot screen came on with everything installing and it absolutely works! Thank you!

So I did one part slightly different and put the phone at an angle so the power button was diagonal to the table, and then hit it. Turned on first time after. Worked like a charm. Thank you.

I have a solution for this problem (try it yourself) : 1- take of your phone cover and battery 2- place them in the freezer 3- KEEP IT IN THE FREEZER FOR NO MORE THAN 5 MIN. 4- Enjoy your phone!!!! 5- Thumbs up if working ;)

I was about to throw my wife's Samsung Galaxy s3 in the garbage after sitting in the drawer well over a year after it stopped turning on one day. I figured I check out KZbin to see if anyone found a possible fix for this and that's when I came across this video. At first I thought you were crazy but then I thought, I'm gonna throw it out anyway so I might as well just try it. So I gave it 3 good bangs on the table and to my amazement the dam thing turned on for the 1st time in a year and a half as if nothing ever happened. I can't believe it, but that seriously just worked for me!! I tried hitting it against my table pretty hard 4 times and it didn't change anything, so I said screw it and I really hit it hard the 5th time, and it actually worked! I can't believe this worked, but it did! My brand new s5 got caught in this boot loop over Easter weekend, so I charged the battery fully on Saturday night and after Sunday brunch I started researching online (I knew nothing would be open on Easter, so might as well check for easy solutions while I wait) and most suggestions involved factory resets and crazy stuff that might have voided my warrenty. Then I saw this and it worked! It's the equivalent of just smacking it, but it actually makes sense the way you do it and the reason you do it. STILL amazed, but it worked!!!!

I was planning on making my way to Verizon in the morning to buy a new Galaxy Note 4 because my Galaxy S4 was not responding. The Galaxy S4 screen would show up and than go black. had a problem with s3 failing to start up. took the phone apart, clean the board and all connections. fiddled with the power button for a bit on the board just wacking it a little and pressing and depressing it. Put it all back together, whacked the hell out of the power button side some more, and presto, she turned on and is working well for the moment. Thanks for the idea buddy

Linda Drums he took the cover off and battery out and whacked the phone on thhe power button, apparently to unstick the button
