Can you make a video about comparing and ordering decimals
@LetsDoMath3 жыл бұрын
I wasn't planning on it, to be honest. Let's say we have some numbers to compare: 34.51 112.3 34.52 27.1 When you're comparing decimal numbers, first look at the whole number part and sort by that, then look at the decimals. In our case 34.512 and 34.514 are the only numbers we have to compare closely. They both start with 34.5... the next column is hundredths. 2 hundredths is greater than 1 1hundredth, so we know which is larger and the final ascending order is 27.1 34.51 34.52 112.3 I hope that helps you.

It's been a complete pleasure, all the way through. Our discussions are going to facilitate a whole lot of learning for students, and some practice on my website to really make them think. I haven't created those exercises yet, but I will this week.

Please make a video of arrange the fraction in ascending order

I have made a bunch of videos of comparing and ordering fractions. Here's a link to the page on my website where you can find all of them (each button links to a video right here on my KZbin channel). www.letsdomath.ca/fractions-compare-order Letsdomath.ca is the fastest way to hunt for a vid on my channel because you search through math topics.

I got the same answer by taking LCM for those fractions and I added it, then I simplified it
@LetsDoMath3 жыл бұрын
But it’s much more complex to do that. The greater your level of complexity, the more chance fir an error. By keeping the multiplications small and reducing the need fir scribble notes as much as you can, you reduce chances for mistakes. 😉😎🤩
