On this episode of Chaos Divers, accompanied by ‪@depthsofhistory‬
we began our search for Abigail Brandenburg. Abbie was a beautiful 26-year-old mother who had been missing for approximately 6 days.
SOLVED: Abigail Brandenburg Brought Home Missing 6 days.
On May 11th, 2022 we had the opportunity to go to Danville and assist her loved ones in the hopes of bringing her home to them. After an extensive search of a boat ramp, we moved around to the boat docks and immediately spotted an anomaly in the water. Without words needing to be spoken, we knew this was the 2009 Ford Edge we were looking for.
Please come along as we bring Abbie home to the hearts of those who loved and adored her.

@@Hollywood5453 That’s a really ignorant comment and big reason people don’t get the help they need. If you don’t understand mental health it’s probably best to just be quiet. Somebody choosing suicide is the result of battling mental health issues whether you like it or not. This isn’t the best place to debate your OPINION. A mother, daughter, fiancé and friend is not longer with them because of a battle she could no longer fight. Your opinion can go elsewhere.

for me it was because I was so loved that I didn't want to upset my family. Mental illness tells you that you are a burden on them. Your brain is scrambled. She most likely imo like me loved her family to bits and wanted better for them and thought her going away was the best for them. So sad. i thought like that aswell.

@@xSnowflake1988x MOST people do not understand what goes on inside of a person who is struggling with depression. I had family members tell me they were tired of my attitude, to get over it...they just could not handle what it takes to deal with a person with depression. But it is attitudes like this that push some people over the edge, so people, next time you start to chastize someone who is depressed, just get up and walk out and keep your platitudes to yourself! Nine times out of ten you don't have a clue what they are going through so it is best to take yourself out of the area before you say the wrong thing and that person ends up like Abbie.

As someone who has suffered from Depression my entire life and struggle everyday, I appreciate your carefully chosen words, and your tact. Mental illness is indeed a heavy burden. People really just have no idea what it’s like. That doesn’t mean she loved her loved ones any less. I’m sure she loved them fiercely. The pain is so unbearable. And there is so little help out there available. And it’s difficult for someone with mental health issues to reach out and find their own help and follow through with it. Because it’s scary. It’s scary and it’s hard to force ourselves to face our fears. I’m so sorry this happened. It hits so close to home. Because it’s just so unfair. My deepest condolences to her family. I can only imagine the profound loss they feel and the confusion. I pray they can find peace in her coming home. May the lord comfort them in their sorrow.

I lost a very dear friend to suicide. He died on his fifth attempt. Even though I knew he suffered, I really didn’t understand it. On his fourth attempt he was in a coma but survived I sat by his hospital bed every day. Five month later. He succeeded. That was 7 1/2 years ago and I still don’t understand. Praying for all who have mental health issues. 🙏🙏🙏

i have tried to kill myself on a few occasions with overdose 1 time i woke up in hospital after being found unconscious. i had nothing to live for and was addicted to opiates due to long term spinal pain. I have since gone on to get married and have a child who is now 19. It is no good saying ask for help! I would NOT have asked for help as I had my pride. I just wanted to sleep forever. I even told myself my parents would be happy without me as I was a burden on them. Now I know I was WRONG! I was mentally ill. I still have the mental illness of depression BUT I have been taught tools and certain ways to deal with it. If you are reading this and you are suicidal just goto bed have a nap. What would be nice is if all the people like Chaos Divers, AWP, Adventure with Nug, etc etc would all get together and create a class for law enforcement agencies and people to take to learn the skills and help with getting agencies the equipment to. The other thing is what all fishermen need to learn drop that sonar more often and help in this effort even if they are not divers you can mark a vehicle and call the police to come and check on it. It doesn't take long to scan a area. To all of you that are doing this movement. Your guardian angels in human form. Your giving the families closer and answers that they need. Such a heartbreaking story of a young woman who had so much ahead of her with her young children, her fiance, family and friends, but whose mental health burdens overtook her life. It's so sad that despite having so much love around, someone can feel like this is the only way. I have lost friends to suicide and know what a huge void it leaves behind, alongside the negative emotions of not being able to help them in their time of desperate need. I hope Abbie is now at peace and that with these answers her loved ones can process their grief and loss knowing that she is no longer struggling with her demons. My heart really does go out to her family. It was so clear in this video and your livestream how much this case affected you all, but I am so glad that you have each other. Jacob, Lindsey and Brittain you are wonderful people bringing answers to so many loved ones, but please remember to take time for yourselves and your own mental health as you go through so much on these cases - if you need a break, assistance from a professional or anything at all, please do not be afraid to step back and give yourselves time to process it all. Thinking of everyone involved in Abbie's recovery, her family and the Chaos Divers team at this incredibly sad time xxx

Wow. That is heavy, I hope you guys are also taking good care of your mental health. I kinda know what it is like to lose someone, personally and professionally (I am a nurse) and have dealt with the passing of my dad at home and patients in hospital. I can not though imagine what you see. Please look after yourselves with as much care you give to the people you find and their families. So you can keep doing your most dignified and respectful dives. Take care, lotsa love, trina

My heart goes out to her family. I have been suicidal and deeply depressed. There isn't a way to describe the pain and how depression warps your thinking. I've been through excruciating physical pain and it didn't compare. Not even close. Everyone take care of each other. We need one another. Thank you for bringing her home and not letting her family become like so many others you help, wondering for years where she is. You spared them that, and that is a blessing given how much grief they already have to bear.

Jacob, Lindsey and Britan my prayers are with each of you as well. I can only imagine how difficult this day was for you. (HUGS) and prayers for each of you. May God guide you and bring all involved peace in your hearts. May memory's of better days and times bring you comfort.

To be watching this today, my sister's birthday, who's 100 miles away, grieving for her daughter, who took her life 5 yrs ago this June 25th, is profound. Heartbreaking that we cannot seem to "fix" what's broken inside our loved ones. May she be at peace and her family seek peace in the years to come. There's never true closure. We all deal with loss differently. Time can soften the pain but the loss is always forever. May everyone seek the peace that we ALL deserve. ✌️❤️💯

Rest in paradise and peace Abigail. What I admire most is not what you do, so much as _how_ you do it- salt of the earth people, no show, all heart, with pure intentions. And one of the only accessible videos on KZbin- as a disabled person, I can’t express how grateful I am to you Lindsday for the most beautiful and most unexpected accessibility. I’ve only ever enjoyed this accessibility on one other channel, and that was specifically for vision impaired. You truly live and embody universal design, making sure the most people can enjoy your content: listeners who are driving, or in bed, the multi taskers and workers, the disabled/blind/people with low vision/Deaf/deaf/hard of hearing/Ill/people working out, or listening on their daily public transport commute- whatever it is, you have ensured with a voice like honey that the widest possible group can enjoy every bit of your video from start to finish, withour needing to be able to see or look at the screen. Further to that, to discover accessibility in such an unexpected space means all the more. Finally, your narration further unveils the capacity of your compassion & hearts, and really makes it perfectly clear that you’re on your own paths, being led by your hearts and not your egos. My sincere thanks
