How's the direction of current -I in example 2?is it because of directions chosen in first equation? Also,is it a fact we can learn by heart that lattice network is symmetric and reciprocal? How did you reach at that conclusion?
@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS
@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, the direction of the current is as per the earlier equation. Because during the calculation, Port 2 is considered as open. So, no current will flow in that direction. Yes, the given lattice network is symmetrical and reciprocal. And in fact, that is also evident, if you just look at the network. But when in doubt, you can also find the remaining two parameters to check the conditions. I hope it will clear your doubt.

As I mentioned in the introductory video of the two port network, for the analysis of many practical network, the two port parameters are very useful. For example, transmission line, small signal model of BJT etc. I hope it will give clear your doubt.

Sir...how did I2 become positive in the mesh 1 (example-3)
@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS
@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS 3 жыл бұрын
Both I1 and I2 are flowing in the same direction through 1 ohm resistor. That's why voltage drop across 1 ohm resistor is (1ohm)* (I1 + I2). I hope it will clear your doubt. If you still have any doubt then let me know here.

At the last example, i got stuck!! When to apply KVL and when to KCL??
@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS
@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS Жыл бұрын
It depends on the circuit. You can also find the parameters using KVL. But here, since there is a dependent current source in between, so you will encounter the supermesh. That's why here KCL is used.

Why in example 2 I=I/2 + I/2
@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS
@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS Жыл бұрын
Current I1 = I + I = 2*I. Therefore, I = I1/ 2.
