Great video. I've been wanting to dive into the convolution UE stuff on my channel so this is definitely a good heads up.

@@TheSoundFXGuy ah cool, thanks for the info! :) I dig your musical theory to enhance impacts approach, mixing musical elements/principles with sfx is always cool. :)

Thank you Nik! How did you stumble upon by channel and what audio related stuff do you do? :)

@@The-Vay-AADS I'm in the process of learning Unreal and have been searching for everything related to audio for Unreal, and your channel showed up in my searches. These videos are very useful. If I was to suggest one that would be very useful, it would be a video that explained the signal flow of an analogue mixing desk using Blueprints, particularly how to set up traditional auxiliary send effects for 2D sound (pre-spatialized). I come from a DJ & music production background, have done some field recording (www.truthrecordings.com) and now really interested in audio in Unity and Unreal. If you are ever available for small one-off Blueprint jobs, I would certainly be interested in talking about your rates.

Hey Nik! Thanks for your reply! I love the frog recordings! :) Frogs are weird sounding creatures man... It's cool that you want to learn about Game Engine Audio. It is the future! And I am happy that I could help a bit. Unfortunately audio does not flow through blueprints, although it might seem this way, with the connections and all. It has it's own flow system. Currently the best way to let audio flow is to use submixes and set the submix parameters either in the SoundWaves or SoundCues. A way to affect sound Pre-Spatialization is to use SourceEffects, but it's a bit cumbersome. Anyway, join my Discord mate, we can do a 1 on 1 session, I'd be happy to go over questions that you have. :)

Hi! Your tutorials are great and really helpful! I was wondering if you could give me some advice on dealing with reverbs (or in general, creating sonic space) in ue4. I'm working on a game and its plot mainly takes place in forests and open areas, where unreal algorythimc reverb usually sounds artificial. Do you recommend using ue4 convolution reverb or is it better to start working with FMOD and using its IR reverb?
@The-Vay-AADS4 жыл бұрын
given THIS problem, go with FMOD.

Hey Andrej! Great video! Can you also combine ambisonic sounds with the also or ir reverb for example?
