Great mental exercise for a 62 year old amateur. Let me just say, math is a real situation of still being able to see the forest for all the trees. It’s only hard when you can’t do that, which is to say, easily make connections. P.S. I will take this opportunity to brag on my son, a freshman at UMich, who got an A in his first semester in Differential Equations. Somehow ended up in section designed for engineers, one more credit for being harder, even though he’s an economist, as well as math major now! I homeschooled in math beginning when he was six, showing him Calculus when he was 12. Told him we were just doing adult puzzles! Anyway, really love your channel. You just feel better when you get your daily dose of math.

I noticed you only considered the principle root of (lnx)^2 however when you substitute k=1 it adds PI to the argument which is the same effect as the negative root. Great job!!

On écrit avec x complexe ln²x = lni = i.pi/2 soit lnx = + ou - rac(pi/2)(1+i)/rac(2) soit 2 racines x1= exp(rac(pi)/2)[cos(rac(pi)/2) + isin(rac(pi)/2)] et x2 = exp(-rac(pi)/2)[cos (rac(pi)/2) +isin(rac(pi)/2] attention ! les deux racines complexes ne sont pas conjuguées cordialement

Oui, mais lni = i.pi/2 + 2.n.pi.i

I thought laws of indices did not apply in the complex realm.

Please use parentheses. Until 03:30 I was sure the transformation of x^ln x was wrong.

Haha, as an engineer and mathematician, that was my exact sentiment! Or, in other words, a solution looking for a problem. But, there will be a time in the unforeseen future that this will be thankful for. So for that keep it up math ninjas!

x^ln(x)=i (ln(x))^2=ln(i) ln(x)=sqrt(ln(i)) x=e^sqrt((ln(i)) i can be express as something e^a then x=e^sqrt(a) answer. 😋😋😋😋😋😋
