You can prove that -2 = 2 if you use that kind of maths.

My go to for these kinda problems is just write the problem as e^(i*theta+ln(r)) and raise that expression to the value we want over the original exponent inside the expression. This is just a way of dividing away the (i*theta+ln(r)) and replacing it with ln(whatever we want) and it’s that free.
