I love love love this series. I agree with everything Kristin has said. There's definitely a pattern of women not trusting their intuition, waisting time and energy going after the wrong guys and a whole lot of limerence displayed in these situations. As someone who has been there I will add that not only are these guys awful but we ladies also have unhealed wounds that have led us to put the awful guys on pedestals to begin with. Simply ending something that isn't right isn't necessarily easy and it doesn't address the larger issue at hand: if we don't heal we will repeat the behavior with someone else. And if you can't afford a good therapist or even find one even if you can afford it I would suggest searching for professionals or very astute individuals on KZbin who give wonderful advice for free. It has really helped me and there are so manybyo choose from. Just my two cents and it's not to take away from the advice Kristin has given, but rather to add to it. There are so many amazing women out there who grew up with poor examples of what love looks like and we deserve better! Someone whose videos I have appreciated is the Crappy Childhood Fairy. Thanks Kristin! I love the direct and humorous advice. That's how I deliver it to my friends as well.

To the first question, people will give you a hard time about moving on too soon after breaking up with just a boyfriend or girlfriend so I can only imagine after a divorce 😩 . It’s truly amazing how people insert themselves into a situation that doesn’t include them and to which they nothing about yet they’ll try to tell you what to do with YOUR life when you didn’t ask. I moved on really fast with my current husband after a bad breakup with a horrible ex boyfriend. I just knew he was the one almost right away, while everybody in my life tried to warn me and tell me this was “too fast”. But you know what, I didn’t listen because they don’t pay my bills, they aren’t living with my decisions, I am. Honestly, everyone could F off and now, 2.5 years later, we have a beautiful family together.

So…the truth is you want a man that goes out of his way and possibly comfort zone just to ask you out. There’s not much to it except that” if he wanted to…he would “as the young people say. You just don’t want a guy that’s like “yeah sure I guess she’s alright”. Because in the end…he’s not the one for you if he’s non chalant (spelling ) about it. So it’s not that the woman shouldn’t ask because of a rule…it’s more in the way men think and how women think….it’s the flow of it all.

If a guy made plans with me in advance, then the day comes, I expect a call or text from him confirming by noon. Otherwise, I'm making other plans. If we've hung out a cpl of times and he's been great, I'll give him until 4pm bc that's when I would start shutting everything down, tying up loose work ends and start getting ready thereafter. Idc how hot he is. Respect is more important

I think alot of women equate a "nice guy" for a boring guy. Also and this requires introspection, many women are attracted to the bad boy/emotionally unavailable b/c they grew up with men like that and that is what's comfortable to them b/c its what they know. Yes its toxic but breaking out of that habit takes WORK.

Nope don’t agree. Not all guys are chasers. That’s a generalized blanket statement. Some guys are very shy. And even if they are so what? Doesn’t make them less of a man. Manliness is not contingent on confidence. Just like being feminine isn’t only contingent on being seductive. It really is just reading the room. Are we “reading on the room” on him? Pay attention to his nuances. Get to know him & then just see. Not all men are chasers. Btw, games ares different.. I’m talking about shyness

Statistics show that shacking up before marriage has a higher divorce rate. Statistics also show the quality and happiness of that relationship is much lower if you shack up. If you have kids, what kind of an example are you setting!? If you have kids and you're shacking up with someone and they end up moving out it will still have the same emotional affect on them as a divorce. If a man truly loves you he will ask you to be his wife.

Awesome advice, Kristen! Just throwing this out there, but I'm a really good guy who's looking for marriage. Name and profile pic are fake because I'm a private person, and not a wolf lol. If there are any SERIOUS girls here looking for a real relationship, let me know if you'd like to get to know me. I will only respond to one. A few descriptors: 26, Christian, Canadian, white (Greek), 6' (really 5'11.5"), don't smoke, drink, don't go to nightclubs, visual artist (I sell my realistic pencil drawings), love to workout but not really jacked (yet), no tattoos/piercings, live alone but no car (yet), really emotionally available (clingy and romantic but still masculine), HATE ALL ANIMALS, very honest (never lie even when it hurts), I love my parents (but not my brother), not very emotional/dramatic/loud but I have a very big heart (like the Grinch at the END of the movie). That's it, I'd hope to find a beautiful girl here who also has a good HEART! Your heart is my favourite part of your body honey! ❤😄And yes even if you look like Kristen! 🤣 (sorry for all the parentheses)
@charlesbell55005 ай бұрын

@@skurinski Listen, they're nice to look at from a distance, but I don't want to live with them. Pets are like strippers: they're beautiful, but they're dirty, expensive, and they'd get in the way of my future wife and kids. 😅
@charlesbell55004 ай бұрын
@@skurinski Hating animals is not a red flag hon, that's a personal preference. A red flag is a guy who's scared to talk about marriage. You gotta grow up. I've encountered so many girls like you on dating sites. I honestly can't believe how many women would choose an animal over a good husband. Shows how much they know. LOL
