I have a white 99 WJ 4x4. My coil spring brackets are rusted out. Didn't know it until I went to change out my coil springs and realized I needed the coil spring bushings/seats. Pulled them off and there may have been a quarter inch still holding on the bracket where the coil spring sits. Haven't had the means to get more brackets yet sadly.

Hey Doug, glad to see more content from you guys recently. How the heck have ya been? I know it's been a long time since I've been active in your comments sections, and honestly I hadn't been watching too many videos. Originally, it was the fact that I had a lot of changes going on in my life, but then because of not watching much, your videos started not making it into my recommendations, and it just snowballed. Over the last two years, we moved from Kent, Washington to a small town in southwestern Washington called Mossyrock, and then about a year ago moved to Caldwell, Idaho (Boise area). It's definitely much more peaceful and cleaner than the Seattle area, and there's far more economic opportunities than Mossyrock, WA. We've been loving it here; the people are great and crime and taxes are both much lower! Unfortunately, I did have to sell Mazarine (my beautiful blue '04 WJ pictured in my avatar) to buy an Excursion to pull our trailer, but at least she went to a fellow WJ enthusiast (with far more resources than I to keep her on the road and in good condition). Hope you, Eric and families are doing well, and I will be working on catching up on your videos I missed!

Those pads are a good score . I so love my WJ 4.7 . I have sold my WK2,Kk,XJ and bought a desiel Wrangler( in Australia desiel is best for remote touring as is can be 1000 klm or more for fuel) and still have my WJ . In Australia sometimes to find a WJ at the wreckers is dearer in fuel ($2 to $2.40 per ltr 4.5 ltrs to a gallon ) ( in remote ereas it can be up to $4 plus per ltr ) ( driving a V8 is yoga for the soul )and time to travel then just buy from Rockauto .In the past I have bought complete WJ taken the parts i needed then sold Wreck again . Love your work and enjoy your content. And yes you have helped me so much with my WJ .thank you

Here in my home state there are 3 large salvage yards all within 15 minutes of my home. The one I went to recently had 18 WJs. There was an 2002 Overland and I pulled the factory rock rails off of it. I notice that not too many WJ guys talk about the factory rock rails that came on the Overland WJ.

Wow, you remind me of me at the junk yard. When I enter and they ask what I'm looking for, I always say a 1/2 pint someone may of left under the seat. I usually get a laugh. After YEARS of looking, I finally got one, well it was as close as one could get. I found a $20 bill all crunched up between the drivers seat and center console. Looks like a good selection of cars. Was at a junk yard in Las Vegas a few years ago, and in Florida last winter, those cars had ZERO RUST. It's like being at a junk yard in heaven.

That 53 Chevy K10 would have come with a 216.5 cu. in engine. A 1/2 ton chevy of the same year would also have the same engine. The secret was in the gearing.

@tearsofjoyforallthispain Жыл бұрын
Junkyard, ebay or fix yours. Look up repairing abs module on jeep. You cut case open and resolder the power pin to the abs pump which is usually the problem. I just fixed mine forfree

I believe there was an 8 cylinder in that old Chevy I could be wrong it is possible that it was some type of 6 cylinder but that big of a truck it makes sense that it was an 8 cylinder if you were impressed with how good of shape that Columbia Edition WJ was you should see how good they are in the yard in the California desert if you ever make it out here trust me brother we're going to tour some of the u-pulls. I pulled a lot of brand new Chevy truck brake pads off of trucks in the U-Pull

The del sol was a single jingle cam. Only the si have the single cam vtech. They are fun to drive but kinda slow. Really rare too. Btw that year the name is a sentence. On my title it says "honda civic crx del sol si" 95 they dropped the civic and crx names to being just the "honda del sol"

It's worth checking the trunk too. If it has the automatic top it's worth a lot of money. It's a euro feature that wasn't released in the u.s. but a lot of people import them and install them. "Trans top" I believe it's called.
@popcola14622 жыл бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWWlYaWOq9yLaqs Vid of a trans top. If you ever do get lucky and find one remember you need the parts from inside the car too. That back railing on the inside and the controls. But that trunk peices are the key thing.
