I use Canadian nickels to hold individual voices open. Works like a charm.

I love that trick of sending an audio signal to the pitch cv, such as a beat. I am trying to replicate it but can’t get the voices to react to the audio I send to it. Does it need a special cable or setting? I have used both a floating ring cable and a regular 1/4 inch guitar type cable.

I was using a eurorack to 1/4" cable to go from the eurorack drum machine to the Lyra, so no special cable is required. The only thing I can think is that you have the mod switch for the voice you're using up instead of down. The switch needs to be set to "LFO FB CV". Let me know if that works

@@EthanJamesMusic1 As I was not trying with a modular drum machine, I got worried it had to do with voltage, but turns out all it needed is way more gain. It works now, which is great because I love the idea of filling a drum beat’s negative space with crazy unpredictability. Thanks again!

Appreciate this series. What is that little blue patch bay thing?

That is a low gain electronics banana to eurorack converter for the Buchla, so I'm not using it for the Lyra-8, but it's very useful to have if you work in Buchla or Serge formats
