i’m not from somaliland or somali but i must say i learnt a lot from this video. i always thought somalia was one country, never knew the backstory. this was really eye opening, my respect for somaliland has gone up massively and inshallah people from both somaliland and Somalia can continue to live peacefully in the future

Somaliland is part of Somalia and recoqnized as such by UN, AU and all other international organisations. Miracle Nation? They are not recoqnized as a nation. PERIOD.

Don't get in this is too much for you to understand. When victims commit crime against other innocent, unarmed and then sell their own history and try to hide their crime what do you call it. They view other Somalis their enemies but they are trying deprived other Northern Somalis their rights to decide and live free. If you aren't Somali, you can't limit yourself to one or two videos. I myself came from North Somalia and will never call Somaliland. We don't even communicate with the same names. They fought the Somalia Military government and they weren't targeted in any other way. After the government clapped, their so-called freedom fighters committed a crime against humanity against the North Somalis who don't belong to their clan. We are the same people who live in different provinces and have different views toward Somalia and Somalis. Honestly the idea of connecting North Somalia to the colonial era is not telling the whole picture. Yes Somalia went through civil wars but all the North Somalis didn't have the same experiences. In fact those entertaining the separate state do committed crime against North Somalis including the western North Somalia known as Adelstate as well as the Eastern region Sool region in which Muse Bihe sent his soldiers to destroy cities. Those freedom fighters are the murderers of other Northern communities who they claim as their Somaliland. Also the idea of Somaliland centre in Hargaisa and other North cities don't have anything to do with it. They can become the state of Hargaisa but they can't decide for the other cities, provinces and communities in the North. This is one of the reasons the world would never recognize one clan state.

As a child between the ages of 8 and 12 I lived through the war and genocide in Somaliland. These documentary definitely hits home and it steered my emotions. You see as a child I lost many friends and family members, which some get kidnapped by Somalia army only never to be seen again and others sacrificed themselves so I live…though, I lived in the United States for the last thirty years, I stay connected to Somaliland and it makes me very proud to see how much they achieved since…❤🎉🎉🎉 thanks for sharing.
