These vlogs, the montage at least, make me realise how isolated and disconnected my life is... With no idea what to do about it. Seeing people out with friends, having a good time, just seems like something I've never been allowed and after nearing a decade of it, it seems pretty much an inevitable endless reality.

I'm so sorry to hear. I was in a similar situation until a couple years ago. College was hell, I felt so isolated and alone. It sucks. I've found that I make better individual relationships. I've been lucky to find people with similar interests that I feel like I can freely talk to. None of my friends know each other but I cherish them individually. It almost feels sudden when you're able to make friends. Before it it feels like nothing is happening even if you put yourself out there. I want to encourage you. I found my first friend through our shared music interests. I encourage you to try to find people with similar interests. You might have done this already, but try again. I really hope you find your special friendships soon ❤️

gonna be hones, when I first found dodie, I was much too young to understand how good the music was. I listened to a few songs, and I liked one or two, but for years, it flew over my head. I thought the music was the side piece to the much more entertaining vlogs. that was 5 years ago. I am now almost 18 and the music hits about 300 times harder now. I have listened to every single song, even learned a few of them. to say she inspires my music is a massive understatement. her style completely altered how I write lyrics, how I play my songs, the way I make it sound, everything. I get that I chose kind of a random video to say this in, but still. thank you, Dodie. thank you so much, for everything.
