Thanks for the videos. I was born and raised in McKeesport. Here's some others: the Candyette, Club CarDiner, Star Restaurant , the Waiting Room, Odoes, Blids Pharmacy, Liperts Cafe. Growing up in the 60's was a magical time there.

Mom and I used to walk to that grocery store every weekend from Luray St. And carry our weeks wirth of food home back when mom didn't have a car. We would walk across to that Eat - n - Park before we went grocery shopping. Dunkin Donuts was where that parking lot is now.

Egar Ford is the dealer that Equibank bought their new Ford vans for their messengers to take inner office mail and supplies to all the branch offices. The drivers last runs of the day they picked up all the proof work for the day and took it to 2 Oliver Plaza in downtown Pittsburgh. The vans were kept maintained, gassed at Paul Roberts Mobil station on the main street in Liberty Borough.

The RED COATS were the salesman at Eger, back in the days when car salesmen were dressed up all the same. Their radio jingle said: THE RED COATS, WILL SAVE YOU GREEN BACK, THE EAGER EGER WAY, SO COME OUT TO McKEESPORT TODAY.

Sams hot dogs. How many times I ate there. My moms mom brought home a purse full of roaches from there once. That was before my mom and I lived in their old place on Luray... that is gone now.

Eger had an ad slogan/jingle "The Red Coats save you greenbacks the eager Eger way, so drive out to McKeesport today". Used to hear it on WMCK all the time.
