Needs the scene where Scotty tells Laforge to inflate all his repair times by 4, that's how you get the reputation as a miracle worker.

Oh I remember the Harry Kim episode Timeless, what I didn't understand about it was why didn't they just run the slipstream drive for a few seconds at a time? It would've burned out sooner but still would have shaved a great many years off their voyage, and it wouldn't have endangered the ship and crew.

I think you just ended the episode much too soon :-)

Completely agree and had those exact same thoughts. Even if they kept it partially installed to improve their regular Warp Drive, why not keep it as a Back-up for when they come across one of the Dozens if not Hundreds of Hostile sectors that threaten to kill them if they pass their Borders and simply use the Drive to Skip that sector rather than face a 5 year Detour etc. Though i don't remember the reason, i thought similar about things such as that Communication array which allowed the Doctor to Transfer onto Prometheus. Astrophysics even showed a chart of how they were all connected, why not just follow and keep using that?

I think it had something to do with the "benamite crystals".🤔

Shortening the journey home that much would have ran them up against the dreaded Storyline Barrier. It's the same, or a similar reason why Starfleet still uses the volatile elements Sparkium and Explodium in all of the ship control panels clear through from the NX-01 Enterprise, through the Kirk Picard era and beyond. Even though they clearly will spark like mad and explode at the slightest provocation or writers need. 😂

Interesting choices . Some of my favorites are : 1. from the original series ( TOS ) : 1. Mirror Mirror ( I loved the evil Spock and the "agonizer" , used for disciplining the crew) , also , the banter between the parallel Sulu and Uhura; Piece Of The Action ; The Menagerie ; Day of the Dove 2. Next Generation All the Episodes featuring the Borg ; the story about Worf's family; the episodes with The Traveller especially the last one , when Wesley leaves Star fleet to join him . In Star Trek , Khan Noonian Singh became my favorite villain ( also because he is a Sikh ) . It turned out that he was the one that actually designed Data. In Deep Space Nine , Dr. Bashir was also genetically engineered , which made him intriguing ; also, Garak, the Obsidian Order and his intrigues were fascinating . In Enterprise, it turned out that the Vulcans were not so honest and honorable : they could actually lie in order to survive, just like humans; finally, a Star Trek book that I read by William Shatner portrays the Federation in not such a nice light : they force their standards on other civilizations - the hight of hypocrisy, considering the Prime Directive. I love the new movies too, the alternate history is very intriguing. Satnaam.

The crew were actually my favourite crew - I think they all bounced off each other the best but some of the episodes were the worst of all Trek - Threshold, bring the cheese to sickbay etc. but some episodes were excellent like when they discovered Seska was actually a Cardassian or you had the hints of the Borg and that Voyager was approching their territory.
