"...Since I last talked to the GSNZ palaeontology group, I've been involved in a few new fossil finds that I would put into the significant category. These include a rather large turtle skull, and a pelagornithid cranium with associated rostrum displaying some rather nice bony teeth. I'll provide an overview of these fossils as well as a ~1 ton Cretaceous marine reptile concretion that a group of us retrieved. I will also give a quick tour of a fossil space I have leased in Waikuku on SH1, about 30 minutes north of Christchurch...."
