Some sweet blues - Fender Malibu test run

I had the pleasure of purchasing a guitar for a family member for their birthday, this was me just ensuring it was all setup and tuned before we took it over. :)

Bought the same thing a month ago. Reminds me of a parlour when played unplugged. And due to the small shape it´ll make a wonderfull on stage guitar. The Fishman sound is awesome! Really nice playing Dude! Cheers from germany.

@@JustinHennessy Agree completely! So I have a Fender Newporter and a Fender FA-235E. I love them both so much! It's just criminal how much abuse Fender acoustics get from the guitar community in my opinion. And I got my Newporter by trading in a supposedly better brand guitar that I had because I just couldn't get on with it. Just goes to show that it doesn't matter what is on the headstock. It's whatever feels right for you as the player. Liked and subscribed from the UK 🙂.

Hey Annika, this was a present for my wife’s sister, about 3 months ago we bought one ourselves. So no cable because I use the Boss WL50 wireless system. Also, the sound is amazing because I use a fishmen acoustic amp (can’t remember the model but happy to share it later) with a little reverb. I also use silk wound strings.

Hey , I have the fender redondo in black, awesome guitar 🎸, but cos it's the dreadnought size , after a while playing my shoulder starts to ache, I'm looking for a smaller parlour size guitar, would this be OK or are the two that similar sound wise etc ? I love the neck on the redondo . Thanks 😊

Hey Dave. I cant talk definitively to this but it looks like they have the same style of neck, slim "C". I wasn't sure if you were saying yours is too big or small which caused your shoulder pain but the malibu is just a really nice travel size. I get shoulder pain when I sit and play for too long so I try and do most of my playing standing up as I find I crouch over the guitar if I sit. Hope that helps. :)

i have Redondo and Newporter. Newporter medium size very comfortable to play(sitting). Redondo big size and i kinda use to play big size guitar while standing up. Both guitar are the same slim C neck. Sound wise if plug in into amp both sound equally good. at least to my ear. Without amp Redondo is complete fuller sound for strumming and finger style but Newporter is best for finger style (no amp). As for strumming sound without amp Newporter is good but not as good as Redondo. Hope this help.
