Do you plan on retiring from trucking? In today’s video, I’ll be sharing my thoughts regarding retirement, inflation, saving, & investing.

Having a mortgage going into retirement? she should have kept working until the mortgage was paid off. Going into retirement you want your living expenses as low as possible, because those medical expenses are going to rise as you age. Learn how to ladder CD, and bonds. High interest savings account, monthly ETF’s that pay dividends. It’s imperative that you have other sources of income.

Plan for the worst, and hope for the best……that’s my everyday philosophy my dude! ✊🏽 This is a very good topic to speak on because the economy is constantly changing. Additional income, investing, and a side hustle are very positive moves these days. You have a great platform to keep stressing this to people…..keep pushing that! 💯

Currently 43 yr olds, will be retiring from the Army in 19 months with 26 years of service. Plan on getting my CDL and getting into food service. "Fail to plan, plan to fail"

Joined the military at 18 with 10k in stocks, invested around 90 percent of my money while in the military got out and bought a house in cash with that money, worked at a smaller food service place for 11 months and made 70k and just started at GFS in december probably gonna do 90k. Have most of the major things that house needed done and am working on a rental with my brother that should be squared away by the end of the year as well as renting out 3 rooms in my house and possible a 4th soon. Make things happen before they happen to you, P.S still driving an 2003 honda

You brought up some very good points I’ve been at ABF freight for almost 18 years the pension did get bailed out. I got about 15 years of credited service to the pension because of all the other Teamster companies I worked for (APA, Holland, Roadway.) that went under mainly due to deregulation. I guess it all depends if ABF holds together. It’s definitely been one of the best jobs I’ve ever had. We also have a 401(k) over here they give us $370 a month unmatched and the pension.

Good video! I wish people in their 20s and 30s could see how much easier it is to retire if they start sooner then rather than later. You got to invest in yourself or life will stay hard.

"Universal Income" AKA One world currency. The economy is about to collapse. Give it 4-5 years. The best route to go is buy land and start growing your own food....

Not to plan is planning to fail I never believed in the gov plan . I'm 56 I just truckin to give to my kids . I invested long before trucking I six years maybe driving . Must driver's can't because their home bills are more than what they make .

The reason alot of these retired seniors struggle is because they want to retire be reaching full retirement age (70) and living in a state that tax retirement income

You don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to see that the U.S govt. is controlled by corporations for the most part. We are all just consumers, and the more dependent we are upon them the higher profit/longevity. Great topic that does get discussed but sadly too often gets pushed aside within the time span of a tik tok video. Keep this up brotha, all of us here appreciate you as a man. The trucking part is just the medium for us to get to know you better 🤙🏽

Im thinking about retirement im in my mid 20s and dont plan on social security to pay my bills thats y you make as much money as you can when your younger and make as much as you can thats y you need do diversity you funds and every dollar you use if you life depends on it for your financial future
