Sorry I haven't uploaded in so long. I see I've almost got 200 subs now, so that's exciting! Thanks everyone!
I think I got some decent stuff from my two Members Night visits back in July (the 18th and the 27th), so I'm finally getting around to uploading it. Hope to have some more videos up relatively soon. For now, here is some action from the Himalayan Highlands snow leopard exhibit!
This is by far the most active I have ever seen the snow leopards. Seeing them so close as well was definitely a treat. The moment the one started calling directly in front of the fence, I couldn't help but smile. I brought my head up from behind my camera and took in the moment with my own eyes, studied the gorgeous cat in front of me, and just for a second tried to appreciate how much of a privilege it was to be standing so close to one. Especially when I consider all of the long, grueling work field scientists and documentarians have to do just to catch mere glimpses of this cat in the wild. I am grateful, indeed!
Aside: I definitely would love to have the opportunity to study these animals in the wild, however hard it may be. That's what I'm working towards at the moment!
